  1. The Official Microsoft Store has released a brief overview of the plot for Halo 5, here's what it says:

"Master Chief continues his hero's quest. Halo for Xbox One takes the now-legendary saga to new heights and is one of the most anticipated games for the new console. In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117, aka Master Chief, confronts a new battery of challenges and tests in a Herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted. Pre-order the next chapter in the wildly popular Halo series designed exclusively for Xbox One."

According to this, that data chip we saw in the trailer isn't Cortana's, as most people thought. What / Whom is that chip containing? Why must Master Chief take these "challenges"? Is sentient life hunted by the Flood?

I would appreciate posting your thoughts :)

  2. Name: Chugalug

Preferred Weapon: Needler or Boltshot, can wield any Grunt-friendly weaponry

Race and/or Occupation: Retired Grunt Ultra

Power/Ability 1: Strength increases with alcohol, other important combat factors such as coordination, sensory awareness, and agility decrease

Power/Ability 2: Can operate vehicles provided he can craft some sort of booster seat and is not highly impaired

Power/Ability 3: Can stab enemies by headbutting them with his cone shaped methane tank

    Bio:

A highly respected Unggoy, Chugalug was once an icon for male rights on Balaho. Realizing that one could not make a living fighting for rights, he joined the Covenant. Once there, he rose through the ranks and fought in many battles. On each human world he traveled to, he killed many humans by making their livers fail. Some say his kill count reached 1,000, others say it reached 2,000.

Eventually, he retired after winning a drinking contest against an Elite, and got a Phantom in the process. After traveling around the galaxy for awhile, meeting new friends over drinks, he found a Forerunner artifact which appeared to depict a legendary Grunty relic: the Golden Feeding Nipple, which can feed you whatever your heart desires. Now he explores the cosmos in search of treasure with a crew of merry mateys.

In his crew are (this is the army that Chugalug will summon if accepted):

Yvas "Squidward" Totem': an Elite who is a master of navigation and a womanizer. While not interested in the Golden Feeding Nipple, he travels with Chugalug in search of the perfect woman... of any species. In battle, he has a fascination with Shotguns, Scattershots, and Plasma Rifles. He is never seen without one of these weapons on his body.

Akk "Harvey" Xen: a Jackal who is fascinated by gold. Although wealth is one of his top priorities, he will always back up his mateys if given the choice between wealth or being loyal. When fighting, Akk uses the shiniest long range weaponry he can use, such as the Carbine or Lightrifle with the steel skin. His armour is coated in gold foil, and his shield (when in use) is gold.

Nebuchadnezzar "Fuzzy" Jackson: a master of thievery, this Brute can crack into any safe that stands in his way. He has a fascination with precious gems, which he says taste better than other rocks. He sticks to his species' weaponry.

Special Weapons: Two Litres of Atomic Absinthe in a Squeeze Bottle; when poured (long range and more accurate) or spat out (short range, spreads like a shotgun round), it can separate matter into its component atoms. While he can pass the bottle to his mateys, this stuff will burn their mouths if they attempt to use the spray method.

Man, I want that drink!

  3. Des got out of the portal, like always, landing on his head.

"Looks like I have a new enemy..." he growled.

When he got up, he saw a friendly group of Elites, Grunts and Jackals, and regrouped with them.

"Commander, we've been looking for you. We have limited troops here, so don't expect much support." said one of the Elites.

"Then we should make sure this ends soon." Des replied.

After a few minutes, they saw enemy movement on their motion sensors, and heard gunfire. They got closer, noticing that the enemy troops were below them. It was Omegaman, pinned down by many Human forces. Since they had height advandage and the element of surprise, they opened fire with everything they had. Plasma and Carbine rounds, fuel rods and grenades rained death from their position, quickly eradicating anything on the floor below.

"That's why I love hanging out with you guys! Why shoot something once, when you can shoot it 42 more times?" said Des, laughing.

"Hmm... Our Jackal friend escaped, but I'm not surprised. You stay here and keep an eye out for more of them, if anything goes bad, contact me. I'll go by myself from now on." he said, separating from his team.

  4. Desmond woke up and saw some Covenant leaving. He was knocked out and they must have thought he was dead. His rifle was lying on the floor next to him, he got up and retrieved it. Looking around, he realised he was still in the same area as before.

He moved forward to a hallway, where he noticed some small pieces from something destroyed, and a weird-looking device next to them. He picked it up, and saw it rebuild itself on his hand.

"Whoa!" he said surprised, and realising that this device was actually a weapon, he fired a few shots of yellow-orange projectiles on the nearby wall. He hadn't seen anything like that before. Suddenly, a red dot appeared behind him in his motion sensor and he quickly turned around, only to see a big, metallic creature glowing orange charging at him. Unable to dodge, it jumped on him, but before it could do anything, he wielded his Magnum and emptied a whole magazine on its head. The creature backed off and then teleported away.

Desmond, catching his breath, picked up his BR and the recently found weapon, and started searching the area for something interesting.

  5. Desmond heard more voices, this time hostile too. He enterred a room full of Covenant and saw an Elite ready to strike a fellow Spartan with an Energy Sword. He reacted fast, and with a quick burst from his rifle he knocked the sword out of the Elite's hand, who left an angry growl seeing the Spartan. Now all the troops there focused their aim at him, ready to shoot. "What a great idea" Desmond thought, preparing for a tough fight.

  6. Personally, I think that Halo 7 shouldn't exist unless 343 still has a story to tell. That said, I'm hoping the game gets even more sandbox-y in campaign, but should still be on the same 'style' as numbered Halo's.

    Subtitled Halo's should be spin-offs.

Yeah, I have a sense that Halo 6 is going to end Master Chief's story, by either ending the threat(s) once and for all, or maybe even killing him, which I don't want to happen D:

  7. Desmond saw more dead Covenant troops and was sure that someone was in there. Suddenly, he heard a cry for help, but also an echo of another voice. He decided to follow voice shouting for help, and go check the other one later.

As soon as he got there, gunfires could be heard, possibly a battle, he thought.

Turning around a corner, he saw a Spartan holding of many Covenant. Desmond had the element of surprise, so he stabbed an Elite in the back with his Holo Blade, and used his body as a temporary shield from incoming fire. He threw the dead body on a Jackal, and quickly took out his BR, finishing it off. The two Spartans cleared the area in no time.

They both took off their helmets, recognizing each other.

    "Taylor? Is that you?"

"Black! A bit late, don't you think?"

"We had to extract some civillians, and when I arrived on Infinity, I was sent here to investigate. Did you find anything worth for the scientists?"

"No, as far as I know."

"Alright, let's go find the others." said Desmond, as they both ran to another area.
