  1. I think the player trait zones should not just affect the player but you could also have different vehicle traits. I want to make a mongoose go great distances over a jump with lower gravity and to change the amount of damage vehicles do and how strong/weak they are. And these shouldn't just affect every vehicle, you could change the settings for every different type of vehicle that enters the zone.
  2. Halo 4 should have a forge with movement mechanics/animations. These could be done with everything you can place and here's how 343 could do it. You place an object in the air and so it doesn't hit anything, you put it's setting on phased. You then press B on the object and it will bring up that coordinates thing. You press A on the edit coordinates and it comes up with everything to do with coordinates that 343 will put in halo 4. This would include the movement mechanics/animations/(whatever you want to call it). You then press A on that option. Then it will come up with "1st location", this would be the place and position it would be at the moment. It would also have "2nd location", this would be where you want to move it. It would have the coordinates of the place you want it to go to and the position that you want it to be in by the time it gets there (kind of like the degrees). This way, you can move the object from location x to location y at ease. You can also say how fast you want it to get there, for this you have two options, you can only choose one. The first option being the amount of time you want it to take for it to get there accurate to a tenth of a second. The second option being how fast it gets there in a speed of kmph or mph. Then below the "2nd location" there would be 2 options. These would be "add another location" and a tick box saying "repeat". Pressing A on add another location would add a 3rd location for you to put coordinates and positions on and everything else you could do for the "2nd location". The tick box saying repeat would just repeat the whole series of locations. You could have up to 100 different locations. This would be cool if put together with the potential "glue" tool if things like pelicans weren't actually put in, but someone could forge a pelican and fly it around the map for once, but you wouldn't actually be able to control it... You could also surprise people by having the times put on the fastest speed or 0.1 seconds. You could fling them from one side of the map to the other which could be fun for a certain game type.
  3. I think the ability to change how strong a man cannon is would be cool
  4. how about a setting for the kill balls which allows you to resize them?
  5. get rid of the snipers wreck vehicles thing. i hated that in reach. it was ridiculous that if i was in a scorpion, it would only survive 2-3 shots from a sniper rifle. i thought they were supposed to be the armoured vehicles. if the snipers are that powerful, why wouldn't they take anyones head off when i sniped them.
  6. Here are some more ideas: 1) A much more powerful explosive, one with the power to damage you from a 40m radius. Powerful enough to kill anyone within, lets say, a 20m radius. It would make volcanos a lot more interesting if it explodes with a really big bang. And when I say bang, I want to be able to see a giant fireball rising from where the explosion took place and i want to be able to hear it explode from the other side of whatever forge world there is. 2) 3 new forge placement settings. One of them could be called "Loose". This would basically be the same as the normal option, but once you place the object you want to place and let it bounce around to a standstill it doesn't then become fixed like the bigger kind of objects in the normal option that become fixed after they stop moving. Instead you could maybe fire a rocket at it and it would move. Another one could be called "Loose Phased". This would basically let you phase objects together and let them bounce around aswell. I think this would work well with a glue tool if there is one. But it wouldn't be able to phase in to the ground or we would lose the object. A final setting could be called "Loose If Touched", this would start off being fixed. You won't be able to move it. But touching the object acts like a switch, It would instantly become moveable. I think that this would work well with things like trap doors, as a kind of platform that falls when you step on it and you fall down the hole. But if you move fast enough, you can still save yourself. Also if you are placing an object in forge mode and it touches the thing that has a "Loose If Touched" setting, nothing happens. This is to avoid crumbling castles when you are trying to forge something. Things like this bring us closer to what would be called a destructable environment. If anyone comes up with a better name for these new settings then it could be called that instead. 3) This idea is basically just combining the first two. Imagine being able to put about 10 of the powerful explosives in a kind of fortress made of "Loose", "Loose Phased" and "Loose If Touched" blocks. Imagine blowing up the explosives and just watching the fortress either get blown apart or collaspe in on itself. I think being able to do this would be great for things like machinima. 4) A very small rock like a large pebble or a 0.5x0.5 block or something small. Combining this with the loose if touched forge placement setting would be pretty cool. Imagine a map where you have to get from one side of the map to another, but as you cross, the ground crumbles and falls beneath you, making a sense of urgency. I think this would be cool for machinima aswell. 5) Remove the kill barriers from under the sea. I think underwater maps have potential as they can sometimes be funny. I think I heard someone else saying this.
  7. Here is a good idea, put music in forge. You could set the range of where you can hear it and you could choose from all of the halo soundtracks to play. Aswell as other soundtracks that are on your xbox 360 by uploading them to your halo 4. You could also set it as a kind of playlist so you can hear one song and then the next one and then the one after that so nothing gets overplayed. You could set what volume each soundtrack is going to play at aswell. All this is because, in my opinion, forge gets a little boring after a while because it takes so long to make a good map, so we could have it playing in the background. We could also be able to put some fitting music in to an infection game or something. We would be able to have it so that it played one thing in one area, then something else when you go in to a different area. We could also record ourselves saying something using something like kinect and put that in to make maps like Saw a lot better. How cool would it be if Jigsaw was actually talking to you and telling you that it was game over? Also if someone decides to put two tracks playing at the same in the same area, just merge them. If it doesn't sound good, which it probably won't, then it's the map makers fault for putting it there. This shouldn't be too hard to make, should it?
  8. I feel like i'm just saying things other people said but... The group tool would be pretty cool, I would quite like to press a button on an object and everything that is touching it then attaches itself to it. This would allow you move things as big as whole bases without having to move every single object one at a time. I think you should also be able to save that specific new object that you have made, name it, then put it in a category and it will appear in that category in the editors menu with a custom symbol next to it. This would save a lot of time if you wanted an object that looked cool and then put it in to other maps you make as a kind of signature as well as lots more useful things. Also if you wanted to separate the pieces again, then you could just press the another button and take out what you want. I also think that weather would be a nice touch and it could really expand on the whole custom game experience after you make your map. I could think of a lot of things you could do with fog, rain and wind, it could really expand on infection. You could have a scale of how strong you want it to be, for example, you could have a scale of 1-100. With this example, when it is set at 1, the wind would only be able to make a golf ball roll very slowly, the rain would be a very light drizzle and the fog would be nothing but a slight blur. But if you set them to 100, the wind would be able to push any flying vehicle trying to go through the wind head on would be flying backwards, the rain could turn into a devasting downpour and the fog would be so bad that you wouldn't even be able to see anything, it could even make the end of your gun fade slightly. If you used them at 100 you would be able to create a killer hurricane, or you could just use them at 50 if you liked the affect it made. I also think that there should be a drivable boat, preferably one with a turret, or at least allow something like the warthog or the mongoose to float. I would love to be able to create a big team battle at sea. I would also like to add a new colour changing system. I think a colour pallet for objects would allow for maps to look a lot better. I also think you should be able to completely change the colour of the object instead of just changing the colour of one thin line that goes unnoticed most of the time. I would also like to save some of the colours as presets aswell. oh great... i've made myself hopeful now...
