    I recently completed my second instalment to the Assassin's Creed maps. It currently needs testing, so I look forward to testing with you, and the other members, at the next game night.

    I'm so excited.

    Custom Game Night is NOT a testing night. I would be happy to test your maps with you DURING the week but Friday night is for finished products to be revealed to the community. It is designed for those who don't have friends or affiliates with youtube channels and websites to get their stuff seen by the public. I started this Custom Game Night with the hopes of bringing small-time no-name forgers out into the light. It has proven to be a success story now with many forgers who went from a unknown to getting into tests for matchmaking or youtube videos being made to showcase them. I am always willing to check out and review maps but you have to take initiative and put them in your fileshare and send me a message. There are many great forgers out there who go unnoticed and also some terrible forgers who have their own channels. My goal is to sift through all of these and find the ones which you, the community, will be able to play for hours.

     

    p.s. Mr. 007 this is not an attack on you but I get asked this too often by those who don't read the thread. So since your my friend, I was hoping to use yours as an example. Now let's go test your map.

    It's such an honor and privilege to have your affiliation with our forum. I know that, unfortunately for years, you guys have been unrecognized for the great maps and content you have provided us in several Halos. I will admit, that I have had my gripes and groans but have overall been a big supporter. I only know of a few things which have restricted what you wanted to give us but also know that there are many things which inhibit what you you are fully capable of delivering. I hope that with the new Xbox and it's capabilities that you guys are able to deliver to the fans more of what you have already wanted to give. I wish you could have been there when I first experienced the Halo 4 forge. I went to Ravine first, and just starred, with ideas running wild. Thank you, for your dedication to Halo and the beautiful maps and content you have delivered for years. Go big on Halo 5!!!

    I have to agree with almost everything above. The only problem is that most of my friends just do customs and forging. The two dozen friends that i have for matchmaking don't like dominion as much as i do and one of friends who's name has been mistaken as a Mexican Tortoise doesn't invite me to play with him. Yeah that's right, sucker, your on blast!!!

    Look whether you are great or not really doesn't matter to me. I haven't heard of you(which isn't a bad thing)but that means you probably haven't been corrupted by the inner circle of top forgers. Ultimately, no matter how good you are there will always be someone better. I think it's great that you would share your time with newer forgers and help the next generation of forgers. No matter what your skill level is I hope that you can benefit someone and help them improve their forging. Thank you for doing this.

    In over a year I have had less than half a dozen of the forum members come to Custom Game Night. Last night you guys came in force. Thank you for your support and I hope you enjoyed what you played. I received a lot of sad mail from dozens who did not get in but it is what it is. Remember, I have never and will never play favoritism or be an exclusive lobby, even to my friends. If you did get in, then then I hope you had fun and will join us again. If you didn't get in, then read the thread and get ready for next week. It was a different atmosphere but hopefully the start of a new way for members to mingle. There are going to be some changes next week with the addition of a new lobby. Lil Dog might as well be nicknamed "Great Dane" because he is going to be the man in charge of another lobby next week for those who are 20 years and younger. Hopefully you guys will be able to have more fun and get the respect you deserve. Special thanks to LucidVivacity for taking the time to make a highlights video even though he missed the second half. It would be fun to have a short clip each week doing a review.     I have started a new account so that more forum members can come to Custom Game Night. I am trying really hard to get to know more of you guys and share these fun times with more friends of the forum but it's been kind of difficult because I could not delete anymore friends. If you would like to become one of the Custom Game Night regulars then send a friend request. I would love to be able to add everyone but eventually will hit another brick wall, with the evil 100 friends cap, that Microsoft limits our sociability with. At this point, the people who have only come once will drop so that you can be added so there will always be room. I will be more than happy to make another one, if needs be, in the future.

    Also, in the future there will be more than one Custom Game Night host. Lil Dog is familiarizing himself and preparing to be the Official 343I Younger than 20 Custom Game Night host. This will improve the experience for a lot of fans of Custom Game Night. We have noticed that the younger Halo fans and some older Halo fans don't always get along. I don't want the younger Halo fans getting muted or treated badly anymore. They have just as much right to do customs as anyone else. We are trying to make the atmosphere in each lobby more enjoyable. We don't have to compromise anymore. A lobby for each which will allow custom gamers of all ages a better experience.

    Drum roll please! Ladies and Gentleman creatures of the earth, Spartans, Forerunners, and Covy's. I come to your amazing forum to announce this year's nominee for this Presidential Election. This is , in my opinion, one of the strongest, most supportive, charismatic, humble, charming, blah, blah, blah(that's enough to make anyone sick). Whatever............Choot 'em, your the man and I have noticed that a lot of what you do goes unnoticed. But you truly are one of the strongest members and promote character and integrity. Good luck to you, you deserve it.

  15. Halo 4 Forge sucks?

    1. Someone prove me wrong! I would love just one example of a map that spanned forge world which was amazing!

     

    2. If you can't make a map(even a big team map) on these forge environments then I would blame the maker for a lack of creativity and skill and quit blaming Certain Affinity(the makers of these beautiful environments) or 343 Industries. I have seen them, I have played them, and I have loved them!

     

    3. I have over a dozen amazing race maps. How can you guys claim that this can't be done?

    I will not and have not claimed to be all-knowing about forge because I don't. I am far from being one of the best forgers out there. But I do enjoy forge and I also take the time to try and understand the elements, reasons, physics, and background to forge. I truly believe that Certain Affinity would have loved to of had the new Xbox and it's capabilities to deliver what they wanted to achieve. But they didn't. They did the best that they could with the time date that Microsoft set and the current Xbox which was going to deliver it. I personally think that Certain Affinity deserves more appreciation from you guys. I can't wait until Halo 5 comes out and all of a sudden you guys, who are so negative, start singing praises to their name. Yes, there are problems which need to be addressed but they did an amazing job overall. Any of the negative posters on here, I challenge you to all come to a lobby together with me and after a few hours of maps try to restate your comments. I would hope that you would possibly see the good in Halo 4 forge and stand behind Certain Affinity and 343 Industries and there desires to improve the game we all love.

    Congratz.

     

    Quality over quantity. Put some thought behind those post. I see a lot of people trying to achieve a number yet no one ever likes their post because they are empty pointless comments. It's not really a race and doesn't prove anything just to post for the sake of achieving gems next to your name.

    The first thing I read this morning. Thanks Urban Bobcat. I have always spent time with people and forge. Actually more time helping then actually forging. But it is refreshing to be able to work with a humble forger who listens and is teachable. You have the creativity, the skills, and the drive. You will gain the experience as you go. What I saw yesterday was an incredible start to something great.

     

    I guess since I posted I should thank someone too. I would like to thank Absolute Dog for all the time, devotion, and loss of sanity. He spends countless unpaid hours in making this forum great. It doesn't go unnoticed big doggy.
