Why does everyone like sprint? All it does is discourages actually finishing a fair fight. You put yourself in a bad position and cant fight your way out then i feel you deserve to die. Seeing everyone run the moment they get hit in reach makes it feel like CoD
Totally agree with you man, thats why I dislike sprint. Instead of fighting, players can just run away because the time to kill is so long. Its really not that difficult and if you watch top MLG players they do the same thing. Instead Id rather have players try to outskill each other, it makes the game faster and causes people to position themselves better on the map.

How does a scoreboard motivates ones skill in a match of Slayer? Your scores in the bottom corner anyway.
It motivates people to do actions that influence it. Its a physiological thing, seeing certain actions mean something makes people want to do it. Its like the stars system used in schools for kids, you get a star for doing the right things instantly. Without this system alot of players ignore the objective or other team actions because they arent publically rewarded for them.

Spread acceleration (which is what i'm going to call it) is on every weapon in CE that is in Reach, you can just see it now (bloom). Reach does have more bloom than CE though, but that's due to all the other methods you can use to kill. If there was less bloom the game would be unbalanced because all the other elements would be more or less useless. Seeing how the spread acceleration in Reach is pretty extreme, bloom it pretty useful. CE=less spread acceleration + less variables. Reach=more spread acceleration + more variables. Halo 4=spread acceleration x all other factors. There are ways of making lower spread acceleration work with more variables but Reach is essentially all that Halo 2 and 3 should have been online, Halo 4 isn't necessarily going to be Reach. Like CE and Reach Halo 4 should definitely have bloom because bloom helps you time your shots better, if you don't want to see how inaccurate you're getting maybe they can include a setting to turn of reticle changes.

Okay on to bloom.
Bloom is one of the core mechanics of Reach, the game was built around it and almost every decision you make includes it. So comparing it to the bloom in other halo games, that only affect a few weapons, is strange and shouldnt really happen. They are inherently different and should be treated as such.
Bloom does not make you shoot better. Its a mechanic that is designed to make a weapon more inconsistent and inaccurate, whether it has a physical representation or not.

Andrew youve got to understand, many many many people left Halo because they hated Reach. The changes in the TU are making Reach more like the traditional Halos, and if you noticed, people are coming back. The TU made me come back! So your in the minority here, for the first time in Reachs history the population is growing, living dead had over 100,000 players when I last looked, thats more than the entire pop of reach for a few months.

Yeah the killfeed needs to be fixed in Halo4, I play exclusively split screen now because I dont have my xbox and its beyond frustrating to lose a 1v1 because someone died and the text crosses my reticle.

The God pistol is only in anniversary playlists. Most people actually want the updates from the Beta, notice how Reach's population is GROWING after a year? Even though games like Gears3, Mw3, BF3, Skyward Sword, and Skyrim are still fairly new people are coming back to play. That says alot about 343i.

But on to topic I agree you should be able to costomize ALL of your armour parts even the smallest details (spartan and elite ofcourse).
Totally agree. Reach is a great at customizing except that armor pieces are grouped together and armor unlocks from rank only. Make each piece independent and armor unlock from challenges and the system is perfect.

Granted i would like to see who got the most kills/deaths/assists but honestly there are bigger problems in reach then the scoreboard and if i was a developer who was actually going to fix those problems the scoreboard would be the least of my worries. Afterall, if you are that intent on seeing who scored what then do as i do and keep a link open to the bungie recent games section and check that after each match. You obviously have enough time to do so during the wait times between matches, i would know because i do this all the time.
Don't rely on the scoreboard, just play with your own skill and forget it ever existed.
You guys are missing the point. Its a tool, meaning I dont rely on it but it really helps me perform. Knowing what happened after the game doesnt help as much as knowing right then. Its a way to instantly know why my team is losing and how I can affect the game. As I said in the example before, if 1 guy is doing all of the PTFO I know to make killing him my priority. Plus this would be easy to change, Reach already tracks all of these stats, they would just have to write a simple program to compile the knowledge ingame.

The reason why its such a big deal to me is because I use it to win games. Its like having a screwdriver in other games then coming to Reach and having to play without that tool.

ehhh rockets are really too easy to get kills with. Atleast with the other power weapons you cant 1 hit kill with ease in every situation.
There should deffinitly be a medal for suicide-killing an enemy. Like nading yourself to kill the enemy. Not sure what to call it though.

The problem with temp bans is it discourages people from playing at all. Instead of waiting the allotted time theyll just boot up another game. Thats why the deranking system should return, it offers a good trade off for leaving games and also creates a way to make it up. It encourages players to keep playing but gives a good reason to complete each game.
