I can understand the drastic changes to "keep with the times " but the staple of halo has and always should have been fast pace multiplayer with split screen capabilities 343 must promote sitting inside your own house because you will never play halo with or at a friend's and even if u decide to buy another 500$ Xbox to play 90% of the time two consoles sharing a ip addresses will not connect to one another I am disgusted that such and amazing gaming franchise could be flushed down the pipes for no apparently reason as horrible as it is to say at least call of duty is delivering a split screen co-op campaign and multiplayer thanks 343 for ruining the best game of our time

I agree with you, i brought halo the min it was release, 12 at night only to find out that i cant split screen to play with my son, i waited over 1 years and half years for this game and brought my xbox1 for this reason, So upset. Surly you guys can do up patch and drop the res down so we can play spit screen.

Good point i can play my call of duty spit screen and it look amazing so i just don't get how you could take the best game ever and take this away.

Question - Do you guys live in the real world, Surly knowing how most people buy this game for the reason to play split screen and share the experience. Otherwise it just the same as any other game. I thought this would have been the biggest question that would of been asked from your halo fans to see what they thought. Sad day.

I would like to add to this complaint. I grew up playing all of the Halo games with my father. It was one of the best bonding experiences we ever had. Since then I have moved out and have a fiance I have been introducing to the series. One of the aspects I've always loved about Halo is the split screen capability. Latey games have been losing this feature, but with Halo 4 I had hope that it would continue with this series. I received my copy of Halo 5 today, and was not expecting there to be no split screen co-op. Now unfortunately I will not be able to share my experience with my father or my fiance, because I do not plan on buying a second xbox, copy of the game, and xbox live subscription. I do not believe the excuses that it is to keep framerates. If anything, new technology should allow for more possibilities in game development. Very disappointed that I will not be able to share this game with the ones I love, and upset that your company has decided to follow this trend of removing local co-op from games.

Patch in splitscreen?

That's simply not Impossible. Because the whole game is built around 60fps. Adding in splitscreen would bring it down to around 30fps. Making the game unplayable because the entire engine they are using is built around 60fps.

Now you may ask, but you can do online co-op. And I answer: You can but that's because it supported by 343's servers.

I still hope splitscreen is in Halo 6 though. I would much prefer splitscreen and 30fps over no splitscreen and 60fps. :)

What a damn JOKE you guys are bungie would have never done something so damn!!!!! Halo is a professional played, family oriented bonding game style. When me and all my friends talk about the old days it's halo split screen house tournaments versus everybody in our school. And not to mention I have played professionally for five years and now that Halo is going back to MLG me and my sons were going to do a team this year. Now come to find out we can't do split screen. Lol what a joke of a game. I'm not going to buy two more systems two more TVs into more games. This will be your guises biggest downfall too many people can't afford systems and play at their friends house now nobody will buy your damn game and you'll be stuck with all these copies. Way to wash the world's greatest game ever down the crapper
