Mantis Soccer

I don't have much time to forge, and my own maps keep me busy enough, but I would love to play a mini game where you have two teams of manti and have to roll / shoot a soccer ball into a net to score points. Don't know how you would do this logistically, but it would sure be fun.

The Mantis is terrible for this. Their stomp function would probably end up colliding with others causing them to bug out and explode also the lighting system can't take it and you can only have 8 (Or 4 I cannot remember!) on one map...

I think it would have to use the halo ball gametype. to bad it's not in halo 4.

i think it just might work if u make indestructible vehicles and all you would have to do is save the game type and play it in custom games i love the idea and i just might do it.

Actually, I attempted to build this about a week after the game came out, unfortunately the lack of a web-browser fileshare prevented me from attempting to popularise it.

 

I do still have the beta uploaded to my Gamertag (same as my username here) if you want to search for it, however I abandoned the project after discovering a bug that causes the soccer ball (and golf ball for that matter) to disappear after taking damage equivalent to two or three missile hits.

 

If anyone can fix that issue, please explain it here, and I'll give you a shoutout in the final version. Same goes for working out scoring, which I was also having difficulty with..

lol the ball would either pop or the mantises frail looking legs would snap off
