Won't give me armor unlocks, HELP!! :(

First I played the spec ops mission to get "White Knight in Assassination" achievement for the avatar award. I unlocked the achievement and it didn't give me the award.

Next I beat halo 4 on legendary and i got the achievements for doing it and it didnt give me the Spartan VI armor.

Well to unlock the gear, you also have to have the space to download them. So I don't know if that helps or not. No clue otherwise.

All you need to do is beat it on the hardest lvl.

What does that mean? I beat all of the game on legendary and got the Knight in White Assassination achievement, it just wont give me armor/avatar award.
