  1. Hi, I'm Commander Raptor Just a fan of the greatest Halo game of all so far... Halo: Reach. Although I have made some analysis to this game and discovered a great many things. I've been in clans and led a few along the way. Let me explain to you where it all began. In a clan called United Legion PMCs (Private Military Contractors) I tried to add some real life tactical formations and tactics to the game and to my training operations. Some did actually work to excellent results and others got the entire team obliterated. But during those analysis I discovered the few problems that almost every Halo players have. Here they are; - Smart Field Movement (SFM) - Patience - Bloom control Those are only three of the many more. SFM is extremely important. Imagine yourself in Hemorrhage and you want to make your way to the enemy territory so you head out in a straight line IN THE OPEN and once you cross a hill or a rock Boom! you're dead by a sniper, a DMR shooter or anything. Plan your moves. Think. Smart = Be smart. Don't rush into things without thoughts. Take your time. Field = Look around you. Know where the enemy is at. Scout and recon around locations just to see and locate targets and choke points that you don't want to be caught into. Movement = When all your preparations are made then move on to your plan. Bring a few teammates from the game chat if you want. Make this everyone's victory. Patience is very important as well. Knowing when to attack an enemy and when not to. Also to always wait for your shields to recharge when depleted. Going in the firefight without a recharged armor won't do you good, a single lucky shot to the head and you're gone. Bloom control is about not spraying and preying your weaponry. Use control over these and guaranty every shot hits your target. All these traits can be taught in our ODST Clan. Join now! Message Cmdr Raptor for more intel and how to join. Thank you!

  3. I've seen many clans out there in these past two years talking a lot about the "clan community". I'm leading a clan myself and I'm trying to be as friendly as possible and to put my point out there to make other clans who are heading in the wrong directions. I see clans who are trying to literally insert a government in a video game. I respect that these clans do what they like but to impose their view upon others is wrong. Also clan raids are a major issue. If you've ever been in a classic Halo: Reach raid you know what I mean by this. A FFA (Free-For-All) raid is where two clans battle each other for control of a base or territory in a FFA slayer mode. The defending clan get in the game alone and once they're all in defensive positions they invite the enemy clan to join in. Once they join the battle begins. The base that we are talking about here has multiple defenses such as Gauss hogs, Tanks, Modded Falcons, Snipers, Rockets, Lasers and much more. The attacking clan have nothing but a few Default Hogs and maybe a Tank (Scorpion class). Imagine the unfairness. These raids sometimes last over 6 hours period of times!! People have lives! You can't spend 1/4 of a day playing games! What I propose and created are maps that include the objectives of CTF or Assault (Bomb). The attacking and defending clans are together in game lobby and start the game together. The attacking clan are given vehicles such as Tanks, Falcons, Hogs (of various types), Wraiths, Ghosts, Revenants. Weapons such as Rockets, Lasers, Plasma Launchers and Fuel Rods. The defending team have a limit of 1 Falcon that is used only for scouting not spawn killing. They only have 2 Rockets (4 rockets in each), 1 Sniper (12 rounds total), 1 Shotgun (12 shells), 1 Plasma Launcher, 2 Grenade Launchers (6 shells in each), each of their weapons respawn 3 minutes in game after their use. Every weapon for the attacking clan is from 10 to 30 seconds same for vehicles. I've had a few clans attack on these maps and they either were able to grab the *modded flag* or not but their members were impressed at how fun and tactical these raids were. The best parts? No spawn killing, seeing all these vehicles and weapons at your disposal makes for various attack plans and diversions. *(modded flags are able to be pickup by anyone and still carry the one hit kill of any flag. You are also able to get in a gunner, driver or passenger position with it! Ex: You can drive a Falcon and still be holding the flag!!) If you are interested in joining my clan or trying these maps or if your interested to have them for your own use please contact me via Xbox Live by my gamertag Cmdr Raptor. Thank you if you actually took the time to read all of this. Cmdr Raptor United Legion CO CQC Division Commander March 13th 2015 at 15:11
