  1. Dont know if youre trolling or not, but if you arent.... I dont wanna be the one to tell you this but PC hasnt seen a major Halo release since like 2007, and that was Halo 2. Currently the only way to play Halo is on Xbox (Halo 5: Forge I dont count because its just custom games).

  2. Oh man okay, well if I were to just pick one race from the covenant that I would have to say were my all time favorites.... Im going to have to go with the grunts. What?! The grunts?!? Why?!? Well, lemme tell ya. I like them solely because I feel like their the least appreciated out of the six or so races that were in the Covenant. The general design and behavior has stayed pretty linear throughout the series and at this point their phrases and noises have become a given in any firefight involving the (Or what used to be) the Covenant. I dont know really why I like them, but imo the best design was the Halo 1 grunt. They were more cute and goofy but started to take on a more vicious appearance when Halo 3 came around. A close second I would have to say would be Hunters, their cool as hell and I like the whole mini hivemind aspect with the worms and all. Good post though!

  3. Hmm... If I had to pick just one playlist I never get tired of, it would probably be Super Fiesta. Having random primary and secondary rolls always makes me look forward to dying more often than not, just so I can have a chance at the ultimate combo... Fuel Rod & Binary Rifle. (For me anyways) The Fuel Rod destroys in close quarters/mid range and the binary rifle melts at anything past that. The Halo 4 Binary was way more lethal but even after its nerf in Halo 5 its still a beast. Plus, paired with any close quarters map.... Talk about stressful. The good kind I mean. A close second would have to be BTB, I havent played much of it in Halo 5 but in Halo 3, Reach, and 4 it was my definite go to game mode if Fiesta wasnt in the playlists that week. (Also..... Infection)

  4. Oh boy, picking my one favorite mission from the entire Halo series... Lemme quick think about it. Honestly I would have to say High Charity from Halo 2. For me the entire idea of a gigantic mobile mechanical planet that was used for the base of operations for the Covenant was pretty interesting, and since you all know my passion for the Flood, combining the two into one pretty lengthy level created one of the most memorable first play-throughs imo. And let me tell you playing it in remastered graphics was absolutely stunning, to this day Halo 2 Anniversary is one of the best looking games in my entire 150 Xbone collection (Right up there with Destiny 2). I probably stared for a good solid five minutes when I came across this part of the level and realized really how freaking huge this place is. maxresdefault.jpg

  5. Hello everyone! So, its been a while since ive even seen a mention of something like this and I thought maybe it would be fun to take another crack at forcing everyone together and making people have a good time. Anyways, lets get started.

WHEN!?This Monday (5/14/18) at lets make it 1pm CDT BUT since I dont know my time zones all that well, let me know if we should change it because I want to make sure it works out for everyone. So the aforementioned time is subject to change.

WHAT!?Ive been in the mood for some Halo 3 lately. Now, I do have a few good gametypes & maps (Jenga, Duck Hunt, and I think Fat Kid) but I really cant say if they're the originals/the fun/the better variants. I dont need to stay party leader the entire time and I would be more than happy to hand it off to whoever wants it next. Im sure if we started digging we would find some classics.

OKAAY!?Alright so depending on how many people sign up for it, I hope it happens. Cant say too many people are active anymore and the few that still are may not even own Halo 3 or and Xbox anymore. Either way im shooting for maybe five people, but more than that would be greatly appreciated! Even if you cant participate maybe float this around the forums, the more people see this the better!   :turned:

But, like I said before, just leave a reply if you want to sign up. Also let me know if we need to change the time to maybe something a little earlier or later in the day. No special medals for this one lads, but still I hope everyone has a good time!

  6. Hmmm.... Well, since my last two site poll posts were about the Flood, and my favorite enemy to actually fight are the Flood, I better pick something different so it doesnt seem like the only thing I care about in the series is you-know-what. My second choice would have to probably be..... Drones. And yes, they are probably one of the more annoying enemies to fight in the series, but they're just so unique. They're giant flying evil bugs that can shoot weapons AND (In the case of Reach) explode into a shower of goo and chitin when headshotted. Always found them pretty exotic & cool

  7. Honestly.... It would be great for it to be ported properly to the Xbox One platform and everything, and to play it in full 1080p and 60fps would really be neat, but I feel like the 360 population would drop a lot and in turn kill the game even more. Not everyone owns an Xbone yet and even less people play MCC matchmaking than Reach multiplayer (Im assuming this because finding a game in any multiplayer playlist takes a while, and since there isnt a live player count I can only assume its less than 5,000 which is what Reach's average is). But I may be completely wrong. I doubt theyll give it the whole Halo 2 makeover, but if they did decide to add it to the MCC (In the same way they added ODST) I would probably end up playing it just for the achievements, because getting all my custom content over to the Xbone would be a huuuuge pain in the ass. Thats why if I ever want to play some Reach, I get on my 360. I do like how its backwards compatible but like I said before, getting all my custom files over is difficult. Plus, my blue flames/legendary edition DLC for some reason didnt transfer, like I cant find out how to download them because on the marketplace it says content is unavailable...

  8. I think, and believe me this is entirely just me fantasizing, it would be extremely cool to have some kind of Dead Space 2 first mission feel to it (For a reintroduction). As in boarding an old ship, be it it an escaped ship from say High Charity or some destroyed drifting ship similar to what RSR said. Like imagine it, an old, creepy, rusted ship filled with flood growth and madness and the only way to progress through the level is to man up and creep through the ships hallways while battling hordes of rotted starved combat/pure forms? Literally it wont ever happen and the horror aspect doesnt fit Halo's new T rating, but that would absolutely be something I would approve of anyways. You could fit that into a plot quite easily im sure, but since the Flood was my favorite enemy to go up against I really dont want to even consider the possibility of them never returning. If they didnt and 343 just swept them under the rug and just contributed their canonical existence to some forgotten lore entry in a terminal.... Ill just say I would be pretty disappointed. Either way though, I love Halo to bits and although I dont know Halo 4 or 5 lore all that well and havent completely read all the books, I still like to think of myself as a pretty dedicated fan. Regardless of what happens ill still be happy with the results (H4 & 5 have actually grown on me quite a bit and I can tell 343 is trying, theyve just been missing a few things from their games that really make Halo Halo.) Anyways I went off topic a little at the end there. What was the question again?

  9. Its been a while since any real main characters died, and since asking for the death of the Master Chief and Cortana in one game seems like kinda a long shot, I think she'll finally be snuffed out in Halo 6. How itll happen, I have no idea. Maybe something similar to the ending of Halo 4, or maybe even a Gravemind/Cortana infected level where you take out two birds with one stone (Would really love to see the Flood return in Halo 6, I always found them really interesting). Either way, I hope its a memorable moment because that means the end of Jen Taylor (One of my all time favorite voice actors) and since shes been in every Halo (Minus ODST and I think Halo Wars 1 & 2) it would be a huge letdown if her final debut was just a simple "Go here and blow this up".

  10. I already knew what I was going to say before I even finished reading the post. ODST, all the way. By far ODST was my favorite campaign, the dark, creepy, lonely, and lost feeling you get during the Rookie missions really stuck with me long after completing the story (Not to mention Marty's musical bits.... *Chills*). I feel like another game where you're in the boots of a marine and not a mythological super soldier would be a refreshing change, at least for me anyways.

  11. Halo Reach and Halo 4 consoles you say... If you ever wanna sell them hey..... Just PM me. Ive got quite the Halo collection going on and those two consoles are the only ones missing from my Halo console lineup. Ive got the Halo original Xbox, as well as the Xbox One and the Halo 3 360. Anyways welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay.

  12. I really hope they don't think us having a problem with the alternating narratives in 5 is solely because it is that way. Halo 2 did it successfully, and we all loved it. Halo 5 did it poorly, and we all hated it.

Yea thats what I was thinking. I really didnt like Locke at all, mainly because he seemed like such a bland, forced character. He had little to no character development, which didnt give me any reason to understand why I should care about his side of the story. You can argue that ODST didnt have any Rookie character development, but he also didnt talk either. This, in my opinion, allowed players to see themselves in the characters shoes and create a better understanding of the environment and plot by not clogging up the Rookies story with even more dialogue. Also, having a quiet character really added to the creepy and sad aspect of the game. Still remains to this day my 2nd favorite Halo campaign, right behind Halo 2. Also on a side note, has anyone ever seen the making of Halo 2 documentary? Or the Halo 3 one? Good stuff.

  13. Looks like my $120 thingy is the only thing that's being gifted: I'll give Kakashi_Hatake, InfinityDusk, and Mr Kittens and Gibberish each a $40 USD budget to buy whatever.

For everyone else, you may do with your gifts as you wish.

  14. Actually, I think there needs to be a subtraction.

The subtraction being every single thing that occurred in Halo 5 :troll:

Really though, I don't want ANY MORE team-based storytelling. They were already pushing it with ODST, and Halo 5 killed it. Just make the story centered on 1 person like IDK, 3 out of the 5 OG Bungie games.

Actually 343's Kiki Wolfkill (Still cant get over that name) and Frank O'Conner stated that Halo 6's campaign will be more Master Chief focused. They said that because of the communities feedback about Spartan Sock and the weird alternating campaigns they were going to base the next game mainly upon on our aging hero, John.

  15. I mean I know im a little late to this, as its been happening for a long time now.... But really though, where did everyone go? I dont want to start naming off people as I dont want to hurt anyone's feelers by excluding them from the list, but all of the regular people have disappeared. You know who they are. I know i'm apart of the problem, as I don't get on here much, but it just makes me sad to see some of the topic threads that haven't seen anything new for months. And i'm talking about in the general discussion tab, which is the most posted in thread of the general 343i Community section.... (Last post was November 28th) Heck, even the beefy Prev Gen Halo's tab under The Halo Universe, which is at a staggering 11,310 topics, hasnt seen a bit of action since July 3rd, 2017.

I know there's nothing I can do about it and it'll just be like this until whomever pays for the server decides to call it quits, but I just miss the forums and wish they were still as active as they used to be. Im aware of the Discord server, but its not the same. Anyways, ill stop my ranting. Theres nothing that can be done and nothing will ever happen to revive this place. I really do appreciate all of you guys and I sincerely hope the best for ya. It was fun while it lasted
