  1. No reason to be a complete ****** bag about it, the guy's just trying to get his point across, which he did.
  2. Then where's this information about Precursors being bad?
  3. What book are you talking about? I have not read anything after Ghosts of Onyx.
  4. They won't be though, they're dealing with a civil war.
  5. I don't know why I posted it in about 3-5 different topics before making my own, but here's some things you should know. You will not be fighting Forerunners or Precursors. Both are considered extinct. Forerunners have confirmed the death of Precursors as no longer existing, they were believed to have been the Forerunners creators. The evidence supporting Forerunners death is simple because they would not allow the Covenant to go around untouched on their planets, and Halos. There has been no sign of them since the activation of the rings, and believe me, if there were any left around, you would have seen them. It's debatable that humans are related to Forerunners considering they had existed before humans, but it's been said that we are descendants of Forerunners. The Forerunners chose the human race as part of their re-population of the universe if the Halo rings were to be activated, hence why a portal to the Ark was place on our planet. The Forerunners were the guardians of the galaxy and soon moved beyond the belief of needing weaponry, which leads to their downfall. They had the power to stunt evolution or increase growth of intelligent life. An example would be us, humans they performed devolution of the human empire to prevent further conflict emanating from what they considered a "violent species." An Ancient evil does not refer to Precursors or Forerunners. Precursors really were nothing to us besides a more advanced race, nothing evil there. Forerunners might as well be considered our guardians, they deemed us "special" in their eyes, they never were our enemy. 343 Guilty Spark and 2401 Penitent Tangent referred to 117, and humans, as "Reclaimers." Like stated earlier, we were their chosen race. The ancient evil can pretty much refer to only 1 thing, and that is the Flood. What led to the fall of the Forerunners, was an AI defecting to the Flood named 05-032 Mendicant Bias who was turned by a Gravemind on the belief that the Forerunners were stunting universal growth of a superior race. Offensive Bias was created to counter Mendicant. No evidence is available to declare Mendicant Bias was destroyed. Being an AI of Forerunner technology, do not be surprised if this game turns into Sierra-117 fighting off the Flood with Forerunner technology on his side, such as Sentinels. I foresee this being Offensive Bias on your side, you being a Reclaimer fending off Mendicant and advanced Flood with Sentinels on your side as well as against. There will probably be new weapons, that of Forerunner technology. Most of this information, and a lot more can be found at http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page. Educate yourselves if you are bored. There's a lot of information than you know on this game and it's all actually quite interesting. I really do help this clears things up and sheds some light on what is coming up in the next game.
  6. DMR can stay, the "bloom" effect that comes with it, needs to go.
  7. It's dumb to think they lost technology because it was on one planet anyway. They would've had more, and if those Spartans had it, 117 would've received it during his armor upgrade in Halo 2. They wouldn't have 1 set of technology on 1 planet, and if they did, they sure as hell would have duplicated it.
  8. No, Precursors were never an enemy, they existed before the Forerunners and a far superior race. The only thing that could be an ancient evil would be the Flood, or Mendicant. Mendicant for those that do not know, was an AI created by the Forerunners, that defected to the Flood after being tricked by a Gravemind. They're called zero g thrusters, which are used in zero gravity like in the destroyed ship, it's not a sign of a jetpack, just a lot of zero g fighting. Maybe he woke up at one point or another and got a jetpack, and maybe the giant structure is like the "giant alien artifact" like the one in the ice cave in reach? They're called zero g thrusters, which are used in zero gravity like in the destroyed ship, it's not a sign of a jetpack, just a lot of zero g fighting.
  9. Why the hell would you want this? They're the entire reason the human race survived, they chose to protect us to ensure population of the universe. The Forerunners and Precursors are dead. I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow survived, but it wouldn't make sense since they allowed the Covenenant to do so much with their technology on their planets for so long without running into them, it just wouldn't work out. Odds are it's going to be sentinels and more Flood.
  10. Nothing that was in Reach besides the sprint. The "bloom" effect that was put on the DMR and the Needle Rifle completely ruined the game for me. I sold it after becoming completely fed up with it; worst addition ever. Keep the DMR, but also bring back the BR, or at least make an option on the gun for single fire or burst, where it does the same amount of damage, or give the burst fire a little bit of a recoil or a downside, anything but having a bloom effect. Once again, easily the worst thing that was put into the game.
  11. Precursors are dead, Forerunners are dead, odds are it's going to be sentinels and most likely the flood again. It appears as if we'll never get rid of the flood, they're in every damn Halo game, besides ODST...I think Even if it is Forerunners, they wouldn't attack us. We had a special place in their hearts and are considered to be descendants of them. Why else would they have placed a slipspace portal to the Ark in Africa? We were part of their conservation measure, to ensure population of the universe again.

    Shield World

End the ******** contest you nerds, nobody cares to read which of you think is a bigger Halo fan. All Spartans have thruster packs built in for zero g battles, that's pretty much what he used right there. I have read nothing about jet packs in cryo pods for emergency use, but it has been a while. I'm also not aware of the timelines on when it was destroyed, but I do know the war ended in November 2552, and the Onyx also blew up in that year, it could be Onyx before it was destroyed, but who knows, I cannot find what month it was destroyed in. For all we know, it could still be Onyx.
