This guy bothers to right a well thought out and articulated response to the many critiques that others and myself included, have felt about halo 4 and 343i direction with the franchise and all you can say is "hurr is to long for me to waste my precious time, hurr i better write a ****** response just so i can flare my ******* and show that i am more enlightened and important than them or their opinion hurr" or the kicker "hurr i disagree with your opinion so your a moron hurr" (its you're btw ****wits). Lets not turn this site into bio-ware 2.0 forums. Where all criticism is null and void because "lel praise MS praise 343i!" "thou can never do wrong!" I greatly enjoyed and emphasised with many of your points shadow. Not only was it constructive, (despite what these children think), but also covered nearly all aspects that i and many people i know had qualms with. Keep up the good fight. I hope 343 can see this and maybe attempt to reign back this notion of having to stamp their uniqueness into an already established franchise and fan base. We want the old chief, the forever heroic and strong, silent badass. The savior and self sacrificing paragon of humanity. A reflection of the perfect solider. If this game is any indication of what is to come in the future, i sincerely hope that he is NOT turned into some heart stricken emotional youth in power armour. And just on a side note of something that i think you left out but should be included (this thing peeved me most in this game). Is WHY THE ****, does nobody seem to really give a **** about master chief? He SAVED humanity, was thought to have scarified himself and DIED for us, was mia for 4 years and then when you get back there's almost no cheer or rejoice at all. no "OMG its the chief! the mother ******* army of one warrior god master chief! The guy who almost single handily saved all our asses!" No, all you get is some bull**** "hey thanks for saving our asses again out here, but could you do us another favour?" and "i thought you would be taller" 'humor' lines. I guess this could be understandable at the time since we are in the middle of a firefight but **** ME, no one even bats an eye. Then when you get back onto the infinity, the mini flying city full of soldiers and people, chiefs first contact with other humans after 4 years, and the fact they now know he's alive people still don't seem to give a ****. Then you get to go on to deal with the cliche power tripping asshat captain, so he can hammer off some condescending one liners like you're a piece of old dirty meat, i just don't buy it. Like christ i didn't think people would be groveling at your feet but the atmosphere is just so... wrong... In halo 1, 2 & 3, when humanity is on the brink of extinction, people see you as the only hope. The interactions, cut scenes and dialogue with soldiers lets you know this. So why, why now does no one care now? Lastly for anyone else reading this don't get me wrong. I don't think that halo 4 is a bad game, i do very much enjoy certain aspects of the game and its story. I mean it looks, sounds and runs beautifully, and the relationship between cortana and chief could not have been done better. I just don't think halo 4 is a very good halo game.
