  1. Yeah, I wonder if they can update halo 4 with a community playlist or if they can only do it in the next halo. Hopefully this one. Anyway, I have two questions to doctor. What do mean by "legitimate rating"? What would you consider legitimate? Also, I think its kinda ambitious to have 100 rotating maps. Do you think that is possible? I mean don't they need servers to hold the maps and how would they organize it? I think people might be too thinly spread out. I would be fine with 10 maps rotating every month and then the community votes to keep one and then another 10 are put out. By the end of the year, we would have 12 old maps and 10 new ones.
  2. I'm curious about how many people would be in favor of a disc just with forge
  3. Hmm... Good point doctor, but that would be true I guess if Halo forge was completely changed into what Far cry has. I only give the example of far cry because I wonder if people think it has elements that work which could also work in forge. I wouldn't want halo to be a map creator. I would just want halo maps to be able to be rated and put into matchmaking. Do you think this just this aspect of far cry would work in halo?
  4. Let me be clear. I don't mean including everything from Far Cry's map editor. Just the part where you can add maps to matchmaking. You wouldn't want to play a forge map with people easily in matchmaking? I always found it annoying to find people to play with in forge maps.
  5. And do you think 343 will ever consider it? My proposal is that 343 or someone dedicate a disc to only halo 4 forge maps with a dedicated server. At the start, there will be 10 of some of the best forge maps as stock maps that will never change. There wil be various gametypes like infection and slayer, etc. However, i think there should also be a new gametype called "minigames" that is devoted to games that don't fit the typical slayer or oddball sort of games people are already used to. Other gametypes that others think of could also be added. Anyways, people will go online and play these stock maps in the beginning. As people create new maps, there will be tags of their maps attached to different players spartan models that can be seen just like in Halo 4 next to their name and such. The player will need to "highlight" a map out of all their maps that they want as "active". "Active" will mean that people can vote/indicate that they would like to play in this map. Players can vote in various different maps from different players so they can have options. Once enough players vote for a particular map, they will be pulled into the map loading area when they are looking for their next game, presumably just after they played one of the stock maps. People will be able to vote with a five star rating system after the game is over whether they liked it. This can help future people decide which map to pick. Also, the more stars one has, the more opportunities to make their maps active. People just starting will have fewer opportunities. For example, they can only make one map active in a month and then they can make the same one active or do a different one (so it better be good). People that have maps people like more will be able to make more maps, maybe one every week. So I foresee some problems with this because its just a fresh idea, but leave comments on whether you like this or not and how it should be improved or changed to make it fun and fair. I created this post out of the frustration of how difficult it is to get people together to play a forge map. Thanks.
