  1. I did some more research and found this (from people talking about Halo: Reach in 2010) (in case anyone else is wondering): "For my store (EB) you fall into one of 3 groups: Preferred Customer: If you are a popular customer there and buy a lot of games and the staff know you well you can come at any time during the day before the release and get your ticket. This ticket has a number on it and that is your place in line. Naturally these people are first in line. I am one of these and you must have paid your game off in full before this point. Other people who have preordered: From about 9:30pm you can arrive and pay off your game and get your ticket for your place in line. The store closes its doors at 11:45pm and re-opens them at midnite. They then let customers in in the order of their place in line, ie. the number on your ticket; 5 at a time (1-5 then 6-10 etc.) When everyone who has preordered has their game the store closes for 10 mins then reopens for those who didn't preorder to try and get a copy. A good store will always have ordered enough to cover all their pre orders. If there is any doubt that they may not get enough in they will not allow anyone else to pre order. I've already paid my 3rd Legendary edition off and arranged with the store that I will be there when they open at 9am to get my ticket as will my best friend. We will 1st and 2nd in line." "You should be able to get both of your copies. Some stores sell more preorders than they can fill. Like Best Buy, I preordered the Legendary Edition there and they only got 24 in, so I need to be at least 24th in line to guarantee my copy. Technically speaking, I believe it's illegal (at least in some places) for a store to sell more pre-orders than they can fill. Despite the crowds, it's why I go with Gamestop; never had that happen with me. When MW2 came out the GS I went to filled all pre-orders and sold an extra 100+ copies... This is probably the last midnight I'll go to though...will prolly just do Amazon game-day release from now on. Despite the fun of having it ASAP it's getting too late and more often now I just get irritated at all the crowd antics (two fights broke out while folks were in line for MW2)."
  2. A lot of my friends are in line right now for the midnight release--it's only 8:15 pm. If I choose to arrive at or around 12:00 am, will it be possible that I won't be able to attain a copy, even though I pre ordered one?
