Tuesday Night Tests
Hello everyone and welcome to The New Tuesday Night tests event
TNT is a weekly testing event that allows forgers to play and receive constructive feedback on their maps.
After a good deal of feedback I've decided to rework TNT.
How do I get my map tested?
It's simple, post a reply in the thread below as follows.
Be sure to upload the current version of the map and/or game-type you would like to test to your file-share.
Example:
Map: corrosion
Gametype: Dominion
Playercount: 12
Notes: I would like to see how the changes play
Film: Yes, I may not make it.
How do I join testing?
Attendance is NOT required but It is recommended.
In order to join testing send a message the reads " inv123 " to the available hosts

What if I don't have a map?
Testers are welcome be sure to message the host for an inv
When does testing start?
Testing begins at 6PM CST every Tuesday.
How will feedback be provided?
If you attend the testing: Feedback will be provided in the post game lobby, immediately after the game is played.
If you don't attend the test session: Feedback will be provided via PM over 343i.org within 2 days time of testing.
Also game-play film will be available in My file-share at player request.
What are the rules?
(1.) Be sure to include your Xbox Live Gamertag. If you don't, then we won't be able to find you in-game to provide an invitation to the event.(2.) One gameplay request per player, please. This policy will allow for more players to get tests, and prevent the lobby from running too late.(3.) Be specific about player count. If you provide a range I will always use the higher number. 8 to 16 = 16(4.) Please don't submit a map that has been finalized and is receiving no additional updates. We want raw, unfinished work still in the testing (or beta) stage.(5.) Deadline for map admission is Tuesday at 5pm. This deadline may be announced sooner if there is a high rate of map submissions. If you are too late for the map admission deadline, you may join the event lobby for testing; at the end of TNT we will pass host to players who want their maps tested.(6.) Maps must be available in your fileshare. This allows the host to quickly progress between TNT submissions.- 15

Corrosion is an asymmetric Dominion map on the erosion forge canvas. It is an abandoned pumping facility inspired by Longbow. The map also supports extraction, ctf, and slayer.
Weapons:
3 objective drops per base
uses the standard human drop set from matchmaking
2 initial saws
2 initial snipers
Vehicles:
2 standard hogs
1 ghost pad
1 mantis pad
1 gauss pad
1 banshee pad

Dominion maps should play optimally at 12 players. I'll give this a download an get back to you

This map has some clean forging and an interesting concepts. But it does have a lot of issues.
It seems that the sight-lines are way to open. Turrets overlooking base terminals is never a good idea. Also spawning and the bases themselves are far too open.
Does this map include objective drops ( drops based on the resupply timers of bases)? Random drops do not work in dominion.

Had a good game on this a few days back. Still needs work. If you would like i can throw the latest version in the saturday night skirmish rotation.

This is not realty what im looking for. I'm looking for original dominion forge maps, not reworkings of the matchmaking set.

i would recommend moving this thread to the minigame submission section. This submission forum focuses on matchmaking style dominion maps.

You have some interesting structures, and I'm glad you used the default dominion gametype.
I've looked over your map in forge. I agree with tortas feed back. Your map has 4 dom capture zones which disqualifies it from being a thfe feature.
I hope you can consolidate your map to 3 bases as well as fix the lighting glitch. Then it can compete for a thfe feature

All Dominion Submissions Must
- Have only 3 bases
- Use only the default dominion gametype
- Custom game types will Not be accepted
- Map must be playable or complete, but still may be open to beta testing
- Have at least one objective drop per base
- An up to date version available in the author's file-share
- At least 2 entrances per base
- Some form of alpha/charlie segmentation
- Movement options between alpha and charlie, outside of bravo control
- Must have "playable" framerate preformance
- Must not have the lighting glitch
- No mods
- Maps can only be built on 1 of the 3 canvas forge maps.(erosion, impact, ravine)
- Please provide a filshare link and at least 1 pic of your map
Submissions will not be accepted if any above bullet point is not met.
Recommendations
These points are not required, but they are recommended.- 3 objective drops per base
- At least 1 sentry turret per base
- Base/ turret monitors for each base
- Spawning based on objective control ex:base res zones
- Base shields
- Fortifying barricades/antennas
- Human drops = dmr, br, frag, rockets, sniper, laser, saw, shotgun
- Promethean/ human drops = saw, binary, incineration cannon, pulse grenade, plasma grenade, scattershot, lightrifle, suppressor
- Each base has at least 1 vehicle pad
- All objective drops are the same set
- Drops match theme of map
Maps will be judged against the current matchmaking maps. (vortex, longbow, meltdown, exile, shatter)
Feel free to provide submissions proper feedback. Matchmaking style and quality, is the goal here ladies and gentleman.

Hey guys, be sure to submit any maps for Wednesday night testing to me by Wednesday morning. You must include your gamertag, name of map, gametype to be played, and desired player count. Just send this info by message to this account over 343i. Also be sure to upload your map to fileshare

ya im also super excited for halo 4. I'm trying to wrap up the final invasion features in the next few weeks, so post your submissions and I'll check them out. I may not post often but I'm always lurking lol.
I'm planning on doing mainly dominion and extraction map features for halo 4. During which I'll be much more proactive with forgers on this forum, so we can get some gems asap.

Sounds fun count me in.
I also have a project wrapping up. It's an invasion map called Transgressions, forged by myself and yardbird 92

I would also like to add
I prefer to feature maps that use the standard load-outs and tier progression

Deviation is ok just make sure it works competitively and captures the spirit of invasion.
I will aslo help test, and possibly develop submissions.
