I completed HCE-A solo campaign on normal, then completed it co-op on normal with my son. We then went for legendary campaign co-op. Having resigned ourselves to the mammoth task when we realised you have to complete an entire mission before saving and quiting or have to start the mission all over again (oh yes you do folks despite others suggesting you don't, been there and ripped the tee-shirt) we progressed through the missions. Over two consecutive weekends (and so many lost hours) we quit and saved and turned the console off eventually completed the Library and gave up 90 minutes into Two Betrayals when we repeatedly got destroyed by the flood immeadiately after wiping them out and disrupting the pulse generator (they just suddenly appeared on top of us). This weekend (having taken a two week vacation) we set ourselves up for finishing the co-op legendary campaign, fully expecting to start again at the beginning of Two Betrayals.
All our history was gone, no solo campaign completed on normal history, no co-op campaign completed on normal and no legendary up to Two Betrayals. My son (8 yrs old) and I (48 yrs old) were in TEARS! and he learned some new colorfull language! Our gamer achievements still show that we had completed the campaign, and acknowledge we had completed a mssion on legendary!
I have seen many other posts on other sites, this is a real and devastating bug. My son and I aren't the greatest gamers in the world and it was a LEGENDARY achievement to get to the last three missions, 343i - A Response please.
We duly started the co-op campaign on Legendary again and tore through the first 3 missions, but we cannot face hitting this bug again so have decided to put our energies into MW3, tainting our anticipation of H4!!
