My brother and I have contemplated and hoped for the same thing. I think it would definitely add to the game play and possibly attract more people to the franchise. During Halo: Reach I found myself replaying "Long Night of Solace" several times just to fly the Sabre around and toy with its capabilities. Adding it to multiplayer would bring some more diversity to the matchmaking. I am also hoping for more campaign missions with the Sabre integrated into it.
