  1. I just hope they restore CE style cutscene manipulation, where you could have active enemy AI in cutscenes. In H2 and H3, often enemies had to be killed for the cutscene to start and they would end up being deleted even if it wasn't necessary to kill them to start the cutscene. Furthermore, only allies would appear in cutscenes, more so in H2 (like the end cutscenes on Cairo Station, Uprising, and Great Journey) than in H3 (both Arby and Johnson could be killed before starting it in most cases but that's about it). There was only 1 cutscene in H3 that allowed active enemy AI but it was at the top of the third tower and you could only bring 1 enemy up the elevator due to AI wanting to get off the elevator (Bungie probably didn't want players pushing Elites up the elevator to make the upstairs battle more easier but perhaps they didn't want players having fun with the cutscene). I have managed to get an AI battle going on upstairs during the cutscene (in CE, I believe you could only have this at the Goldie cutscene on Silent Cartographer if you left marines there) in addition to uncovering that the bipeds in most if not all cutscenes are tangible.
  2. You just described Reach, not CE. I made a thread on Waypoint regarding Legendary in newer Halo games a while ago and I can safely say CE Legendary AI are the most fair and balanced enemy AI you'll ever see in Halo. I have spent a lot of time in it and I've had to put considerably less effort into gameplay than I do in Reach. Examples: youtube.com/watch?v=AybGvWyiKkQ youtube.com/watch?v=jK0GRgFGyjc youtube.com/watch?v=7ZHYQqtYKKU youtube.com/watch?v=leH0mjWAQN8 youtube.com/watch?v=0GXCb15qbBk youtube.com/watch?v=gEBSHUtEICM Elites in CE are very, very susceptible to manipulation and even the sound of gun fire can drive them into positions of vulnerability. Enemies in CE may have infinite ammo but they do not have bottomless clip. They too suffer from drawbacks such as reloading and overheating. To test this, fight a Goldie plasma rifle wielder. He'll overheat his plasma rifle if you let him stand there. Also, try a needler Grunt. Also, the reason why they land their hits on you is because the projectile speed of the plasma rifle is fast. In Reach, this is dependent on difficulty but by no means do I consider Reach to be better than CE in this regard as the player's plasma rifle doesn't seem to get the same bonus in Reach (and it does significantly less damage. Likewise, the concussion rifle).
  3. Uprising. It's quite deceiving. I blame the random spawns at some points but it's mostly because the enemies are nasty vicious monsters compared to when they were commanded by Elites. Or it could be the lack of enemy variety seen in Gravemind and Great Journey.
  4. I'm just making an account here in case the Bungie.net H2 forum & the Halo Waypoint H2 forum end up becoming desolate. Also, I have concerns about a potential future merging of the Bungie.net forums. I want to discuss Halo 2 in sanctity and I'm tired of seeing H2 Anniversary threads... So hi. Sliding Ghost here. Here's my YT channel. I work with H1, H2, and H3. I won't be visiting much. This is just in case.
