@  Twinreaper : (21 November 2014 - 03:01 PM) our struggle was real! You crazy lucky kids today have tons of media formats to use to recover and re-install, fancy apps that recover filenames, etc...
@  Twinreaper : (21 November 2014 - 03:01 PM) file recovery back then sucked
@  Twinreaper : (21 November 2014 - 03:01 PM) Iirc, i had about 15,000 files names filetemp_xxx that I had to go through
@  Twinreaper : (21 November 2014 - 03:00 PM) So I had to boot into DOS itself, and use the disk tools to piece togather back my OS
@  Twinreaper : (21 November 2014 - 02:59 PM) See back then, if you lost an install diskette, you were screwed
@  AnimeAddict : (21 November 2014 - 02:59 PM) @Twinreaper >.<
@  Twinreaper : (21 November 2014 - 02:59 PM) Q Basic....wow that brings back memories
@  Twinreaper : (21 November 2014 - 02:58 PM) In the middle oif running it, freak power outage happened. lost my whole drive. had to manually recover files, open them up to see the code fragments, and rename them all and paste a lot, just to get the OS booting again. that was back in the DOS &Win 3.11 days
