Capcom Registers Darkstalkers Trademark

Now this is interesting. Capcom’s Darkstalkers may be set to rise from the grave.

 

The fighting game series, and firm fan favourite, has laid dormant since 2005. But a recent Capcom trademark suggests there’s another on the way.

 

Filed yesterday, the trademark is just for the name “Darkstalkers,” with no suffix. So a reboot, perhaps?

 

Street Fighter X Tekken producer Yoshinori Ono teased the return of the game at Comic-Con last year, showing a slide saying “Darkstalkers are not dead.” But other than that, no official indication has been announced.

 

Still though, Darkstalkers was freaking awesome. Be excited.
