Alan Wake on XBLA Steps Into the Light

Alan Wake is back, and although he's not getting a disc in a box this time around, he's still looking good on the Xbox Live Arcade, toting what appears to be a nailgun with his trusty flashlight and a marvellous flannel shirt that's just like one I happen to own.

 

Look at the road sign behind Alan's torch beam, and you'll see it says Night Springs, offering a strong hint that the XBLA game will indeed be Alan Wake: Night Springs as previously speculated. Take a look at the very first image of the game below.

 

Remedy is promising a full standalone Alan Wake experience on the Xbox Live Arcade with its Wake follow up, and we know it's only one screenshot, but we must say we're pleasantly surprised by how good it's looking. There'll be more Alan Wake XBLA at the VGAs on December 10th
