So I've been watching Psych lately and a though occurred to me.

What if Henry isn't really Shawn's dad? What if Shawn was adopted at a very young age because his biological parents were killed?

Here's what I think happened to Shawn's real parents. I think that when Shawn was a baby, his parents decided to have an outdoor barbecue. Shawn was all nice and set in his baby chair at the outdoor table on their deck while his real dad cooked up some meat. The trouble began when his real mom brought out the pineapple, for that extra Hawaiian kick on the steak. Little did she know, raccoons absolutely love pineapple. Shawn's parents were subsequently attacked by a gaze of raccoons and were killed. This is why Shawn is terrified of raccoons (even though he probably doesn't know it) and why a pineapple is featured in just about every episode of Psych as a memento to Shawn's real parents.

This is a very good theory, I would be blown away if this isn't exactly what the developers were trying to do lol.
