Halo 4 Galileo Station (Update #4)

This a competitive style map with lots of close quarters action as well as long corridors for some sniping. It is a symmetrical style map that is intended for any type of slayer, oddball, CTF and koth. It can hold up to 12 players but is recommended for 4v4 or 5v5. It's my first Halo 4 map that I make and it's gone through a lot of testing but I would like more feedback so plz do me the favor or trying it out.

INITIAL DROP WEAPONS

1x Rocket-respawn every 3min

2xSnipers-respawn every 2:30min

2xRailgun, respawn every 2:15min

2xFragGrenade, respawn every 60 sec

2xPulse, respawn every 75 sec

2xPlasmas, respawn every 90 sec

 

RANDOM WEAPON DROPS

NEEDLER

SPEED BOOST

OVERSHIELD

These all spawn every 2:30min at random places on the map.

 

Also the jumps on every end of the corridors are zero gravity so be careful not to fall off the map

 

UPDATE #1

hey guys I added a couple of new things to the map, to keep the gameplay flowing around it and not just in one spot there are now many more areas for random weapon drops and the zero G areas have steps so you can't fall off the map as easy. Also the SAW has been switched for a shotgun for the simple fact that I need more close quarters weapons and the SAW has more distance that the shotgun.

 

I still need to do more play tests so if you are interested PM me so we can go have some fun

On a side note, I wanna try and implement Extraction to the map so if you love extraction let me know so you can help me forge it

Just a couple of minor adjustment mainly weapon spawn times and less weapon drops to make it more balanced.

 

UPDATE #3

Removed the SAW, added more aesthetic pieces to please the eye of the wondering spartan, fixed a few spawns, fixed the soft kill areas.

 

UPDATE #4

Fixed a spot on the map where you would instantly die if you jumped to high or jet pack.

 

THIS MAP IS NOW COMPLETE

hhhhhhmmmm..... well not much to say it is made of station corridors which anyone can make a good map with them..... it is a perfectly fine map just not much i find really impressive and unique

Yeah unfortunately JLA it's just as thejchip has said, it might play like the best map in the world but it's just not interesting enough, for your next map design try to base it round a cool map feature or an aesthetic to make it interesting and stand out, I wish you all the best.

Another thing.. besides downloading the maps before people comment on them.. (which, should go without saying) they should also play a legitimate couple of games on them with at least one or more other players. There isn't a forge map in existance that is meant to be enjoyed solo.

 

If one doesn't have the time to do this and give a map a proper go. Then, please refrain from giving extended "reviews".

 

Think that makes the most sense.
