Spartan_16 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Share Posted November 23, 2012 There is one thing that I do not understand about the story of Halo 4. Del Rio and his attitude towards Master Chief. I just don’t understand it. Master Chief is humanity’s greatest hero, the most decorated soldier in UNSC history. Last the UNSC had heard from him he had just given his life to stop the Flood and Covenant. He is a legend amongst both regular UNSC military forces and Spartans. I am up to speed on the extended Halo universe and there is no prior mention of Del Rio or any issue that he has with either Chief or the Spartans. He was put in charge of the Infinity because he good ‘manager’ which is something he, in no way displays in game at all. I don’t understand his contempt toward John, is it simply that he feels threatened, emasculated or envious of the respect Chief commands??? Did I miss something or is he just an idiot?
