Ragnarok CTF does not work.

There's too many vehicles, compound this with the fact that the spawns are poor on that map & it's rediculously easy to just spawn kill people. Compile this with the fact that it's impossible to make any headway on the map on foot, as nearly half the players can be in a power vehicle (Banshee x2, Mantis x2) & it jut doesn't play well at all.

Please fix this, it's turned a perfectly good map into a vehicle slaughterfest which doesn't play like a proper CTF game should at all.

Well I completely disagree. CTF on ragnarok has been some of the most fun I've had so far. Just last night I commented while playing to friends that despite how many vehicles there were, there was still a balance of infantry and vehicles at all times. The vehicle players typically end up going one for one with each other, leaving the remaining infantry able to just DMR them to death. People underestimate the primary weapons' ability to kill vehicles all the time. It only takes 4 clips/magazines. And the sniper rifle is an anti-vehicle weapon that spawns in the base. The sniper should rarely be used against infantry on this map.

This map and gametype just require a lot of teamwork. Lots of team shooting vehicles and lots of vehicle teamwork. I was able to consistently do well by using the banshee while a friend was in a mantis. I would swoop in and kill the laser, he would handle their banshee, then I would distract their mantis for him to kill, then we teamshot the warthog. It took a lot of cautious play to get it right, but we were able to consistently set up a spawn camp. To me, that is good for the game. Both teams start equal so if one team gets pushed so far back that they are getting camped by 2 mantis, a warthog, and a banshee, then they really deserved it. It won't happen against evenly skilled teams to begin with so it's not a problem.

What's really needed is some more anti-vehicle weaponry back at each base - this is what the Missile Pods were great for in Halo 3, as they were pretty much useless for attacking, but good at holding off vehicles that got too close. Otherwise things are only going to get worse as time going on and people start using the Operator specialisation, which means their vehicles aren't as badly affected by EMP shots from Plasma Pistols. As is, I tend to agree that there's too much vehicular power. If your team has its Mantis and Banshee destroyed, and the other team still have theirs, what can you really do from that point to fight back?

Once again, plasma pistol, plasma pistol, plasma pistol.

I have a much easier time taking down enemy vehicles in Halo 4 than I ever did in any of the other Halo games.

It has worked fine for me. There are PLENTY of ways to destroy vehicles now. The mangos is not all it is made out to be either. If you have a good team you can all put some DMR and BR shots in together and take it down pretty quick. It's shields always take forever to load up as well. If you can get behind cover at medium range and you have a plasma pistol, it turns into a useless statue pretty quick and you can get a stickie in or possibly get on the thing if you are close enough.

I usually just wait for the mangos to get ripe and then eat them.

In all seriousness, I fully agree with you. The movement speed and the slow shields make it an easy kill if you know how to use cover and distractions. As for the Banshee, I swear they are making them out of glass now. Very easy to destroy.
