So after playing for about a year and a half now, I had just played my first 4 games of Arena ^^ my rating was 1479, but everywhere I look people say that is average level. I don't see how though... We won all 4 games, I had 48 kills, 11 assists, and 12 deaths. That's a 4.0 k/d and 4.92 k&a/d. Do I have to keep getting games like that to rank it up higher, or what? I'm just having a little trouble figuring out why a 4.0 is average in Arena, but impossible in regular matchmaking, any help appreciated ^^ (not trying to sound bigheaded, just curious..)

Your rating isn't just based on your k/d. It's based on how well you perform (medals gathered, objectives taken, sprees, etc.) which is why you can get a k/d of 6.0 and still get a rating of under 1500.

If I was you, I would go for morecmedals than anything else, but keep your k/d really good as well

Well I had 2 killing frenzies and 3-4 killing sprees I can't remember, quite a few headcases, a showstopper, plenty of multikills, assassinations etc. I just don't get it haha oh well I guess.

Rating has nothing to do with Arena. Ever since season....4 or 6 or something. Arena divisions are STRICTLY win/loss ratio. Yours competes against others. If you are say 100 wins out of 100 games then you will be in a division higher then someone who is say 30 wins out of 30 games. Only a certain amount of people can be in each division. (Except Iron I think) If you want to be in Gold/Silver you have to kick someone out of their spot in that division by passing their win/loss ratio. I havent played Arena in like 2 months....but im still Silver lol.

I pull 16s and 17s regularly, including the occasional 2000. But yeah, like the others said, its not based solely on KD. I managed a 1400 once with only assists.
