  1. If anyone is wondering i have found a solution that will allow me to play until they hopefully sort this mess out. I plugged my Xbox into my PC ethernet port and used a wireless card to connect my PC to my router. Then i subscribed to a paid VPN ($8/month) and shared the connection with my Xbox. I have been testing it since last night and have had 0 warping and freezing issues over 20-30 games. Just to make sure i was not loosing my mind i disconnected the VPN and what do you know i was rubber banding all over the place. Strangely enough when i am connected through the VPN i have Strict NAT with no problems. When i connect without the VPN with all my ports forwarded properly i have Open NAT. Does not make any sense to me but i know jack all about network engineering.
  2. This issue between TWC and Microsofts servers has been going on for 12 months since the launch of MCC. I understand they are busy and have better things to do. Just letting all the people in this thread know this issue will probably never be fixed and they should return the game or switch ISPs. Edit: The fact that is has been a problem for going on a year leads me to believe the people that need to look into this have not even been made aware of the issue. That is what this thread is for.
  3. I know there are some people in here yelling at 343 but most of us realize that it is not their fault. If you read half these posts you would understand this is not a issue with port forwarding or having too many tablets connected to your router. The hope was that 343/ Microsoft would put pressure on TWC to resolve this issue. TWC has officially responded in a thread on their website (http://forums.timewarnercable.com/t5/Connectivity/Horrible-lag-and-disconnects/td-p/85655) and said it is Microsoft's fault that their servers are too busy. This is a routing issue on TWCs end. Our game is locking up for 30-60 seconds 3 to 4 times a game (the clock stops moving). This is not a little lag spike. The game is completely unplayable. Not many people want to eat $60-$90 for a game that they will never be able to play so they will demand a refund stating the game is broken. At this point it becomes a issue for 343 as well. Not to mention all these people are wrecking the quality of all halo 5 games for people with other ISPs turning games into 3 v 4 after they get kicked out.
  4. I assume you mean mbps which if you convert to the MB is 11/1 respectively. 297 ping is very high as well. Your internet is not terrible but it is not great either. I still think you are getting timed out because your ping is so high. You should still be able to play but i find it hard to believe you do not lag out and have connection problems with every online game you play. Your question could be better answered by other gamers in your area or surrounding areas. Searching google i found this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/dubai/comments/3qdpjy/halo_5_dubai_latency_issues_x_post_from_rhalo/ You are basically in the same boat as all of us TWC customers. Switching ISP will probably resolve your issues.
  5. Sounds like your getting timed out because of your ping. The red screen you are talking about says your connection was dropped. You are probably connecting to a server somewhere is western Europe and your ping is extremely high. Maybe you are being routed to the wrong server in the US for some reason. What is your internet speed? What kind of ping do you have in other games? When you run the network test in the settings menu what is your ping and packet loss?
  6. I thought the same thing but made the mistake of buying the Arris SB6121 instead of the Netgear. Still having the same problems. You may be on to something. Maybe we need a firmware update or something but as far i know ARRIS does not put out firmware updates.
  7. I doubt 343 can do anything about this. TWC is blaming Microsoft servers. Neither company really cares we are such a small group of people having this problem. Look into getting a new ISP. This problem has been going on for 11 months with Halo MCC i wouldn't expect it to be fixed any time soon. Someone else suggested a VPN will work but i don't know enough about it to tell you if it will. I don't have a laptop or i would have tried it already.
  8. I could be wrong but i have not seen anyone that is not TWC customer or a subsidiary. Also everyone seems to have an ARRIS modem running in a area that has not been upgraded to DOCSIS 3 yet(don't offer more than 50/5). I am sure there are exceptions but i just assume they are people with other router or faulty hardware issues.
  9. I have the same problem with TWC in Louisville, KY. Game freezing 30-60 seconds at a time and massive lag spikes all game long. I am not surprised TWC is blaming Microsoft. I have more bad news for you all. I have had the exact same problem with halo MCC for 11 months. I highly doubt this will ever be resolved. If you want to play any game on a Microsoft dedicated server i assume our only choice will be to switch to another ISP. Time Warner will blame Microsoft and vice versa. I doubt there are enough people having this problem that either company cares or will lose any substatntial amount of money over it.
