  2. ^^ Your seriously gonna take a "Youtube" description as actual proof it will release fully (not lobotomized) on the PC?  I gotta bridge in London I'd like to sell you...

Ok, if you don't want to believe the description of the video, of the official YouTube channel of Halo, then take a look at this news article written by Chris Lee, the Studio Head of 343 Industries. He doesn't specifically mention Infinite being on windows, but he includes the official game engine demo announcement trailer for Halo Infinite on the official Xbox YouTube channel. On that video, the description, again, is literally the same, word by word. The only difference is that the first video I provided has 5 million views, where as the Official Xbox trailer has 1 million. They're both official. Lol.

Edit: I would also like to show you a list of all games that are Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusive.

    Halo Wars 2

    Forza Horizon 4

    We Happy Few

    Cup Head

    Sea of Thieves

    State of Decay 2

All of these games are Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusives. Meaning you can play them all on your windows 10 pc.

Also, here is an Xbox Wire recap article on E3 2018. It lists Halo Infinite as an Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusive. If you don't believe Xbox, then I don't know what to tell you.

As for the whole "Windows" confirmed...no...it wasn't.  No where was it specifically written or stated "releasing for Windows PC".

It is literally stated in the Halo Infinite trailer description on youtube. Here is the description copy and pasted below.1 You can also read it for yourself on the actual video below:

1 "The Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite – the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries and created with our new Slipspace Engine, Halo Infinite was revealed at the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing with a thrilling engine demo that provides a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise, leading it into new and unexpected directions.

Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusive."

  4. The RedStarRocket would take over the world in a manner of exaggerative violence that would shape the earth into a new beginning. He would accomplish this by flying around the world in 80 days, mixing the atmosphere with a biological chemical that would plunge humanity into a bitter deep sleep, infecting the brain with a deadly virus which simultaneously causes extreme nightmares, and melts it in an excruciating painful manner. This would  leave the animals that were enslaved by the former living rulers a peaceful world, one of no war, famine, hunger, and an advanced evolution to surpass humanity in a dramatic new frontier of global happiness, world peace, and tier 3 technological capabilities.

  5. This is a topic that I had created a long while ago on Waypoint in regards to what I thought the future of Halo's multiplayer unlocks/req system should be like. However, it of course was locked, Because there was already ONE topic in regards to the req system, or something. Anyways, here it is.

As we all know, the Halo 5 REQ system isn't really well liked, though if you do compare it to other systems that mainstream titles have nowadays, it is definitely LEAGUES better, however it is not perfect. First and foremost, everything should be tied to Credits like in Halo Reach. REQs should only exist for warzone, and not have anything to do with ANY customization, at all, ever again. Only weapons and power ups that you can use to play in Warzone, exactly how it was in Halo 5. BUT, each REQ should cost a certain amount of credits, and they should still be consumable. Lets say a Magnum would cost 50 credits, and an assault rifle could cost 75. Vehicles like the Mongoose should cost around 100 credits, while vehicles like the Scorpion should cost 1000. Flying vehicles such as the Banshee (and pleeeease maybe Hornets, the wasp is cool and all, but I would love to have the Hornet back) should be around 200. And just like Halo Reach, we should earn credits by how well you did in game, and a bonus if you actually win the game. And there should be a double credit weekend, where you earn double the amount you would usually get, but minus the bonus you get for winning a game.

Now for customization. Armor should only be available by purchasing them with credits, and the Rare armors by unlocking achievements, like how you were able to get Hyabusa in Halo 3. And for the actual customization, it should be a mixture of both Halo Reach, and Halo 4. Instead of just the two Primary and Secondary colours, a Tertiary colour would be amazing to have. I would also love to see ALL of the Emblems from ALL of the Halo games be made available for us to use, and for greater customization. Of course we would need to unlock them all via accomplishing feats in the game, like getting your first triple kill, or getting a killionaire. Naturally, we should unlock base emblems and armors through ranking up as well.

  6. Another really great question!

I may well be in the minority here, but I'm actually of the opinion that the current fluid movement system doesn't actually go far enough. For the past few years I've been playing a lot of Warframe, which has one of the fastest, most fluid movement systems I've ever experienced. The total freedom of movement it offers is just incredible, and so I'm in the odd position that when I go back to Halo 5, it actually feels outright clunky by comparison. Even sprinting at full speed feels really slow, like the game is only trying to give you the illusion of speed rather than actually letting you go fast. I think a lot of that's probably down to map design, but in combination with accurate, hitscan weapons and how painfully slow the base movement speed is, to me Halo 5 just feels like the closest it's ever been to a cover shooter, as players just can't move fast enough to cover ground in the open.

Just to stress, I don't necessarily want players to move faster - that brings its own advantages and disadvantages. But I'd like for the movement system to focus a bit more on, well, movement, rather than gimmicks. Take clambering, for example. It's nice and all but it's not particularly fast to perform, and completely kills your momentum - if you're sprinting at full speed, for example, you end up back at normal walking pace on completion. Instead, if you're sprinting just let it drop you into a slide, so if you want you can immediately stand back up and continue with no loss of pace.

Speaking of the slide - it's damn cool, but it doesn't really have any practical use. Part of this is because the friction slows you far too quickly - instead, give players a period of one second or so after entering slide before they start losing speed, and have it take longer before they come to a stop. That makes it a bit more fun to use, and a bit less impractical, but we can still do more. Tie the rate of deceleration to the angle of the ground beneath the player, so that if you start sliding down a slope, you actually start going faster. And that's just the base mechanic - what would improve it even more is adding proper crouch ducts to maps, so that sliding has a real, practical use, allowing players to keep the pace up when going under low barriers rather than completely sacrificing their momentum.

And of course, there's the mid-air stabilisation thrusters. Right now, they're hopelessly impractical, since if you want actual manual control over them the button combination to activate them is incredibly clunky, and if you leave it on automatic they have a tendency to activate when you don't want them. Quite why they aren't just mapped to the jump key is beyond me. They also have the same issue as slide as, while it looks pretty cool, it's generally quite impractical, and it also completely kills your momentum. So, I'd propose a couple of changes - first, let them be activated at any time, just by holding the jump button. Next, let them have no effect on momentum, so they they feel like a natural, smooth part of the movement system. And thirdly, treat them more like the slide, so that for the first second of use the player doesn't lose any height, succumbing to the normal effects of gravity over the next second after that.

Lastly, I'd like to un-nerf Sprint. Not being able to regenerate your shields or health while sprinting is already enough of a punishment without making the control scheme unreliable as well. As is, it just feels incredibly awkward when you try to start sprinting while under attack and the game just stops the controls from responding. We don't inhibit a player's ability to jump when they're under attack, so there's no reason to do it for sprint, and right now it's incredibly inconsistent since it affects you differently depending on whether you're sprinting before or after you come under fire.

I know a lot of people enjoy the movement in the older Halos, and that's fine. but there's no denying at this point that it feels very dated, and very slow. Improving the overall fluidity of the movement system would open up new combat tactics and so increase the skill gap, turn what are currently gimmicks into a real part of the core gameplay, eliminate some of the 'clunkiness' of combat, and most importantly, make moving around maps feel more fun.

Took the words right out of my mouth. lol

  8. Made this up today, it's a Grifball map I hasted together in a few hours, I don't think it's perfect, I haven't played it with anyone yet, though I think it works just fine.

I just have the basic four initial spawn, and respawn points on either side of the map.

It's basically a room that has a circuit board theme, with black and green. I think it looks pleasant.

If you download it, and play it, please inform me if there is any issue with the spawning, or if there is anyway I can improve upon it.

  9. If we're going the 4 people route, I would ask for PUBG for Xbox totaling $30.

If we're going the 3 people route, I would ask for MineCraft and RWBY Grimm Eclipse, both for xbox totaling $40.

If we're going with the other options, I will kindly turn down your gracious offer :)

  10. I'm throwing in a voucher for me to buy 1 person a $60 game in US monies. Then I'll ship it to the person who wants the game.

It can be any game so long as it's around $60 in US monopoly bucks (no really, REAL money). Digital, physical, I have no quarrel.

I too am interested in this, could we potentially get two games for a total of 60 USMonies? Like for example, say PUBG for Xbox One, and MCC? Or any amount of games totaling 60 USMonies, as long as they are digital?

If not this, I wouldn't mind one of those Platinum REQs DD is offering :D

  11. I'm putting my Halo 5 OST disk I won from Forge Hubs charity stream under our hypothetical tree. It's still in the original clear packaging. I just won't be able to send it internationally, so only in the United States. Sorry ;~;
