  1. Here is my distaste for automatic weapons... you seem to dump out a clip so quickly. It really gives you one good chance to knock out the shields and take out the enemy, otherwise you are reloading and they are recovering, and/or shoveling out damage upon you while you reload. I'd probably be more apt to use the assault rifle if the clip was a bit larger, though this may also be that I am not the best with auto weapons. I muchly prefer precise punches at mid-to-long range.

  2. diagnosis' are available for you, 343 Industries:

    1. Reform Psych Profile where it determines your style automatically by reviewing your playstyle

    2. Remove the ability to earn kill points in Objective

    3. Ban outgoing underaged players

I'm interested to know how you would classify playstyles person to person. Personally, I can see how a system could be developed that would put labels on players (based on physical, recorded statistics) such as "slow mover", "fast paced", "accurate shooter", "auto weapons adept", so on and so forth.

  3. My recommended remedy: find enough people who enjoy custom games (and who can get along well enough) and play with them. Get comfortable being put in different teams among the same group of people, get to know them a little bit, and more fun will be had by all.

After Halo 2, I think I lost touch with this funtime aspect of multiplayer, because I could no longer regularly play in games with several folks I knew (or at least kinda knew). Good competition without the discomfort of strangers' behavior is more fun, in my opinion.

  4. Why do you people not read? I said I'd rather have fun, but I'm NOT having fun because I'm being completely outmatched. I could care less if my K/D was garbage and I was having fun, but what's happening is I'm doing average or poorly AND NOT HAVING FUN. This hasn't happened in any of the other Halo's. In Halo 3 my K/D was like .50 and I didn't care one bit. My K/D is like 1.50 in Reach, that's great. It's like 1.90 here and that's great as well except unlike the others I'm not having fun. Yesterday I was matched against a bunch of randoms, two of whom got over 25 kills and no deaths. They weren't cheating, they were just good. And I didn't even get close to even breaking their shields they were so good at strafing. Not to mention that same day where I died about 15 times in a row within 3 seconds of me spawning. And these match ups happen to me on a regular basis.

And for the record, you're talking to someone who spent an entire match yesterday stalking a person with Camo. I play to have fun.

For the record, I believed this post was about our feelings on matchmaking skill, not just you.

Also, because you tend to immediately go defensive mode and call my comments a "rant", I will henceforce avoid any response to your ideas. No disrespect intended.

    Again, have fun.

  5. What bothers me is that I'm being matched against strong coordinated teams when I don't have a full party, Four randoms with no mics vs a clan, fair.

I agree. Custom games with familiar acquaintances is about 10 times as fun, in my opinion.

  6. atm assuming top skill, precisions are better.

    why?

their only limiting facot IS skill, or the persons ability to make the shots land at medium/close range.

to a extend a automatic weapon user has to do this too, especially with burst fire at medium range.

however, no matter how skilled you are you cant land hits at long range with automatic weapons, obviously there is no REAL penalty for hitting htem at close range with precision weapons, that again...cant be overcome with player skill.

to fix this imo automatic weapons need straight up faster ttk in close range combat, therefore precision weapons get punished for letting automatics get close, just as automatics are punished everytime they peek out of cover.

    I can dig it.

  7. I'd have to say I am a little above so-so. I have been on more losing teams than I have winning teams, but my KD is just above (or at) 1.00.

I don't play every night. I don't spend every day thinking about my next games on Halo 4, or if my KDis going up or down. I don't get on LIVE at night thinking "okay tonight's the night, I'm going to be the best". Perhaps that shows in my record, and I'm okay with that.

I do, however, pride myself in having more fun at Halo 4 than most. While some of my team is whining about losing, I'm giggling because I just got sniped mid jump and cut a backflip, which I got to see from my killer's perspective. "Nice shot, guy."

In my opinion, one shouldn't place value on the game in terms of how much better one can be than others, but in terms of how much you enjoy it even if you aren't on your A-game. Or even if your A-game is doo doo.

    Have fun, kids.

  8. So far I like it. Maybe it is because I don't play every single night, and I don't try my ass off to be the best and get the coolest armor, or maybe it is because I don't put a game up on a pedistal so that I can do nothing but throw rocks at it later, I dunno.

Halo 4 is fun. The changes, in my opinion, are a welcome new approach. I get my ass kicked every time I play this game, yet I still feel like this game totally appeals to my Halo gameplay interest.

Also, I believe the majority of complainers are children who have nothing better to do than play Halo and whine because it is not exactly their idea of what a "perfect Halo" should be.
