If a person were to go somewhere with a friend they recently met, but their old friend would like to do something entirely different from what that person and their new friend has planned, what would be a good way of handling the situation that makes both of the friends happy?
(This is a solution for a friend of mine, not myself)
Basically whoever you made plans with first has the entitlement of your time, unless the other person wants to do something far more awesome (like take you on an all expenses paid vacation to 2045's Mars Base).
Example: You and your new friend plan to go see Deadpool. Your old friend wants to go see a rom-com on the same day, an hour after you already made the plans with your new friend. Unless you REALLY want to go see the rom-com, you are obligated to honor your original agreement with your new friend. If your old friend doesn't wanna do what you guys are doing, that's your friend's problem.
If you feel like you're being a jerk, then offer to make plans with your old friend to do something at a later date.

What are your thoughts of the game 'Undertale'

Was the annoying dog really that annoying?
At first look it's a pretty basic game, but it has plenty of nuance. I mean I give it like a 6-7 out of 10 due to the logical leaps (i.e. a cow forcing itself on you as your over-concerned paternal figure after just seconds of meeting you). These logical leaps kind of killed the 'tear jerker' moments in the game for me.
Anyways, yeah the annoying dog really is annoying, and not just to the protagonist.

Lionhead studios closing doesn't come as a surprise to me. They aren't known for meeting deadlines, and they aren't known for good business decisions either. For instance, they released Fable Anniversary for the Xbox 360 a full year after the Xbox One was released without porting it to Xbox One and without backwards compatibility being a thing at the time. That combined with them constantly pushing back deadlines and having a reputation for reworking games in the later stages of development means that it actually comes as a surprise that Microsoft didn't shut them down earlier.
I loved the Fable series, and was intending on playing Fable Legends (even though it didn't appeal to me very much), but I understand the cancellation and Lionhead's potential shutdown.

Hello everyone with problems with the ban system, here is a centralized place where you all can gather and discuss how much you hate it instead of making 700,000 different topics about the same thing.
Things to note:
- You will be banned for quitting excessively. This includes getting kicked from the game because of server issues sadly.
- You will be banned for betraying multiple times. Even by accident.
- You will be kicked and possibly banned if you are away from your game for about 2-3 minutes. 343 has taken precautions to catch people rubber banding thumbsticks and such.
Other things to note:
- This is a community forum. We are not affiliated with 343 Industries or employed by Microsoft. Community forums are for community members (players) by community members (other players).
- No one here can lift your bans. As a matter of fact nobody at Microsoft can lift your ban either. The system is automated, to make Matchmaking enjoyable for the majority of the players.

Why are some YouTube videos blocked on mobile devices? I've always found it strange since most (if not all) channels want their channel to grow, but why block videos on mobile devices?
Mainly because ads don't play on mobile devices the same way that they do on non-mobile devices. This means that channels do not make nearly as much money per view on mobile as they do on non-mobile. As a result of this, some channels have opted to make it to where you can ONLY view their videos on non-mobile devices.
You can't really blame them either, because this is their livelihood we're talking about. And there is a drastic difference between mobile and non-mobile revenue. Say there are two channels, and one (channel A) makes videos that were only viewed on non-mobile devices and the other (channel
makes videos that were only viewed on mobile devices. If both channels got the same amount of views on each video, and channel A was paid $1000, channel B could make as little as $300 for the same amount of work.The blame lies with the fights between M$ and Google, Youtube's copyright system, and the different types of Youtube Apps.

What is your professional opinion of the Xbox One as a whole? (System, Games, Apps, Etc)
Also, what do you think about the new firefight mode 'Warzone Firefight' that is coming to Halo 5?
It's a definite improvement over the Xbox 360 in pretty much every way imaginable. It's also the most durable piece of electronic equipment I've had to date. The thing survived at least 7 ounces of tea poured directly into it's top vent without any sign of damage at all. The apps are pretty easy to access and download (even though some of the app devs suck), the games play well (except for the ones where the devs suck), and I like the controller way better than a PS controller.
I have no opinion about H5 WF because I haven't had a chance to play it yet lol Sounds fun though.

It's a little depressing that I'm older than Pokemon by over half a decade and it's already two decades old. Also a testament to exactly how much you can milk an IP just by adding some new crap now and then.

What are your thoughts on Time Travel? I mean, its not like we are going to be able to in the near future, if ever.
But what if it were already invented, and we don't know about it yet. What if the real reason why nothing has changed, is because when you go back in time, it doesn't affect our time line, but creates a new one? An alternate reality of what had already been, and what will be?
I don't believe travelling to the past is possible, but travelling to and from the future might be. Even if travelling to the past WERE possible, it would be massively irresponsible to do so. Even if there were a chance to kill Hitler, for instance, there's a possibility that doing so would lead to an even greater atrocity than the holocaust. So it's likely that if time travel is invented, it would be used to go to the future and bring knowledge back to the 'present'.

Unfortunately if we did that then we wouldn't get any AAA game titles. Publishers are quite important in the video game industry, as they are the ones who pay the developers for their work. Otherwise, if a dev made one bad title their company would run the risk of going under. Instead, the publisher takes this risk for the dev and then takes a chunk of the profits for their troubles.
Yeah, publishers can be a pain, but they serve a purpose.
What are your thoughts on the second Titanic Ship that is being built?
Well, I wish them luck, but I'm not going to be on THAT maiden voyage that's for sure.

Does stuff like wrapping it in dry towels, putting it in or on some rice or placing it on a radiator work?
Wrapping it in dry towels may work, but it's too large for putting it into rice to work and placing it on a heater would be a very bad idea.
It might actually dry faster out of the towels, because of evaporation.

Fixing Xbox One Water Damage
Have you spilled liquid onto your Xbox One and need a quick guide on how to deal with it? Well you're in luck.
Things to understand
Most electronics are not built to withstand contact with water. Water causes short circuits, power surges, and can destroy the magnesium which is in most machines. This is also why most warranties don't cover water damage, including the warranty for Xbox One. There is a very good chance that if your console has come into contact with water you will need to replace it at full price.
What to do
1. Power down your Xbone if it didn't shut off automatically.
2. Unplug ALL cords connected to it. Disconnect the power cord from your outlet and the power supply box (this is to reset the power supply, in case it surged).
3. Grab a towel and dry it off as much as you can. Try to drain the water through the same vent it entered in, if possible.
4. Allow your Xbox One to completely dry, keeping it unplugged. A minimum of 8 hours is suggested, but longer than that won't hurt.
5. When you are confident that the console is dry, plug your cables back in and try to turn it on. If the console powers up but shuts itself off before completely booting up, unplug it again and wait longer. If it continues doing this or simply doesn't power on at all after 48 hours, see below.
It didn't work
You have two options at this point. You can either purchase another console or contact Xbox Support via this link. At the main support page, navigate to the bottom of the page and click 'Contact Us'. Fill out the proper forms and explain what happened to the customer service agent. There is no point in lying about what happened, the console has liquid contact indicators that the repair center will check. If you are truthful and polite the agent may be able to cut you a break. It's pretty much a guarantee that you'll have to pay something to get your console fixed/replaced, but if there's a way to pay less than the full price of the console the customer service agent will help you find it.

Correct. The length of time it would take for the other senses to 'heighten' would depend entirely on the person and how they use those other senses. It's been theorized that someone who was born blind would develop heightened other sense much quicker than someone who's eyesight was lost in their 30s. The younger you are, the quicker the change should occur as well. However in most cases the change takes months at the very least, with a few cases of the change never occurring at all.
The sense that is most likely to get an increase in sensitivity to cover for blindness is hearing, followed closely (statistically speaking) by the sense of touch. The process in which the brain uses parts of itself that were normally reserved for a sense that was lost to increase other senses is called cross-modal neuroplasticity.

How would you describe a colour to a blind person (In your own way)

Could it be possible for people with disabilities (Blind, Paralyzed, etc..) to possess a unique trait in another umm "human trait" (wasn't sure how to word it) Basically could a blind person have better smell? Could a deaf person have better vision? Etc, etc.. Since that trait doesn't exist wouldn't another trait benefit from the lack of the other?
There wouldn't be an accurate way to describe color because that is something that changes with each person's perspective, and the blind person wouldn't have any perspective to work with. So I wouldn't try.
Yes, when one lacks a sense (especially one they had previously) one's mind tends to attempt to make up for this by heightening awareness with the other senses. A decent chunk of scientists believe that this a survival mechanism, but there are those who believe that the heightened senses are simply a result of no longer being distracted by the lost sense.
In other words, if one were to lose their sight and notice that their senses of hearing, touch, and smell all increased in sensitivity, it is possible that this is either a survival mechanism or that they simply weren't aware of how acute those senses were previously because they were 'distracted' from it by their sense of sight.

My girlfriend and I are having problems. Lately, she's been busy working, and when she gets home, she's extremely tired.
She told me today that I've been too mean to her lately, and combined with work, she can't handle it. I had no idea... Then she said some things that made it sound like she was going out on a date with her best friend. I misunderstood and pressed the panic button, saying things I shouldn't, and now because of it, she's uncomfortable with me.
She has trouble with my dry humor (Who doesn't?), and takes things too personally. I believe myself to be a very nice person... but I don't know what to do.
The best thing to do is communicate. Clear, concise communication to be specific. Basically, you have to talk to her without making jokes and hear how she feels and tell her how you feel. Mind you, I don't mean get into an argument. I mean sit down with her and talk about your situation, and apologize if you feel the need to.
If you two are compatible, you'll be able to work this out. If not, then things won't get any worse than they already are.

So about this Inheritor award. I understand that if we were previously handed an award, but then they were replaced with the Inheritor award. Is there a list anywhere of the removed awards? I went from 52 to 44 (it did change to 45 today) but I can't remember what awards were removed. Also why were they removed? (if you can answer that question)
It's basically a one award for all the awards that were removed type of thing. I feel your pain though, I went from 55 (or so) down to 27 with the awards dump.
The awards were removed because the majority of them could no longer be attained or were no longer relevant (i.e. personally created awards for staff members and moderators who hadn't been either for over two years).

Check your email and make sure that you got the Xbox receipt, and check the balance on your bank account/xbl account to make sure the purchase actually went through. Same thing happened to me yesterday. Tried to buy something and didn't get it, turns out the purchase didn't complete without throwing me an error code.
If the purchase did go through, hang on to the email you got. Try these steps.
1. COMPLETELY shut off your Xbox One by doing this.
>Go to the Home Screen
>Press Menu Button OR say "Xbox go to settings" if you have a Kinect
>Select Settings
>Select Power & Startup
>Turn on Energy Saving Mode>Turn off your Xbox
2. Turn your Xbox back on
3. Check to see if you have the REQ Pack.
If you do NOT have the REQ Pack at this point and you've got purchase confirmation contact Xbox Live Support using the link below. Let them know how you purchased the pack, that you have the purchase confirmation, and that you did not receive the item you purchased. If they can't help you ask to speak to a supervisor or a more experienced support rep.

Lol no problem. The first place to start when trying to get a refund is from wherever you bought it from. If you bought it from a store, take it back with your proof of purchase (receipt) and ask for a refund. If they refuse, ask to speak to a manager.
If you bought the digital copy then I'm going to tell you what M$ support won't (they're afraid of dissat surveys because they'll get fired over them). You aren't able to get a refund for those. Microsoft has covered it's tracks quite well with this, even litigation won't get you a refund in most cases. Your best bet is to ask for the next tier of support, if they've got it. Or customer relations.
