  1. Not every single person who plays Halo 4 plays multiplayer, so just because MM stats are lower doesn't mean much. They were highest at release, then it tapers off over time. That's not dying, that's just how it goes. People play other games, they don't get on MM as much, etc. It doesn't mean they all got pissed at the game and quit. Over time a games population will decrease, it's normal, if not expected. It doesn't mean 343 failed, or that Halo is dying.

    Halo 3 had a much larger fan-base and a higher population count compared to halo 4, That game was released in 2007 btw.

  2. I would prefer to go out of my scope than have my aim thrown off. Another one for the list is slowing down when being shot at while sprinting. The choosing map has been in since reach, I like it. I would like to remake my vote though, if I accidentally press it.

    Don't play CTF so haven't experienced but I like that the carrier can actually defend themselves to a certain degree. I mean, stay out of melee range and its the same as killing someone with a pistol who walks slower isn't it?

     

    Vehicle damage was altered so they were not OP. in halo 3, it was near impossible to destroy vehicles without boarding, explosives or another vehicle.

     

    I completely agree with the weapons points. I feel that H4 starts your loadouts with nowhere near enough ammunition. I burn through it all the time, something that has rarely happened before.

    THATS THE WAY VEHICLES ARE SUPPOSED TO PLAY. You have to use map/weapon control to beat them.

That would make sense expect for the fact that 343 are well aware of are concerns but they are choosing to ignore us, bury their head in the sand while they push fail map packs and spartan flops in our faces... The problem is not just the game and how it was put together more of 343's logic and what they chose to put in Halo 4, which is the main cause of the complains !!

  4. Wow, the OP really wants to trim a lot of fat off of Halo 4.

    If all those this things mentioned on that list were cut, we would only be left with guns and objectives; we might as well play Counter-Strike and call the game Halo-Strike.

    The reason why I play Halo is because it's HALO an game with alien type **** with a lot of extras to mess around with. NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT LIKE ALL THE EXTRA STUFF, STOP PLAYING IN PUBS!!!!!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!!

    *sigh, or do whatever you want. I do not care anymore.*

    Seems like all the haters are pub players. ughhhh.

    So wanting to add in more game modes, more playlists, a true ranking system, and wanting more vehicles... Is somehow 'trimming of fat' 343 did the trimming mate... 343 cut out large parts of the community and catered the entire game for a population that didn't even show... Now the core halo fans, who have been there through halo 1,2 and 3... Are pleading for thing to change to how things were are are being ignored and shunned by 343i such as calling us 'classic fans' and the old faithful 'trust us'...

     

    You couldn't make it up.

  5. 343, lost the plot... To be frank, the game is sloppy, rushed and overall poor... We get this crap that halo NEEDS to change or SUDDEN DEATH, but 343 went mad. Yes every game needs to keep fresh but the changes are just crap boring pointless and ruins halo. It may be 'new' but it isn't because we seen it all before have we?? And it sucks where the hell is the innovation at?

  6. Halo is slowly dying, struggling to hold on it is population its very clearly that what 343 did to "change" halo basically failed. Here are the reasons why. Some are due to poor programming and glitches etc... some are failed concepts that where destined to flop:

     

    Muliplayer

    Lack of playlists.

    No competitive ranking system

    Poor playlist management.

    Team play out the window

    Game fails to encourage objective play. (Halo 1, 2 and 3 did this fine Btw.)

    Overpowered weapons (Boltshot)

    Unbalanced starts

    Ordinance (Encouraging Camping)

    Perks (Unbalanced starts, Unfair to new players)

    Sprint (RIP small/arena Maps)

    Jetpack (Breaks Map flow/ Map control pointless)

    Load-outs (Individual tactics/skill gone... Its more focused on the "Setup" you use)

    Paper vehicles (Have individual Heath, Will explode faster than a grenade)

    No Hornet/Falcon

    Vehicle betrayals

    Can't drop flag.

    Experience point can be "earned" for doing nothing (Get 0 Kills 0 Deaths = 1100xp)

    Scoring system broken (1st 1st 7th.)

    Active Campo, encourages camping, used to be a skill power up.. now a noobs crutch.

    Random ordinance, Can ruin the outcome of the game. Red team get 2 Rockets... in a close slayer match.

    No Map specific weapons, no point of map control... apart from to kill & camp

    Rank capped at lvl 70. No codes available.

    Fail voting system.

    No veto

    Ugly armor

     

    Custom games

    (Permanent) Alpha Flood Setting Gone.

    Can't set % to starting zombie

    Trait zones don't apply to flood

    Can't edit flood loadouts

    Can't edit flood weapons

    Can't edit flood Perks/AA

    I liked to apologize to the forum mods for breaking the rules with my last thread, but this ^^^^ :up: is the reason I get mad, some are opinions yes, but they are opinions that MANY agree with. Proof? look at the falling population and see the facts... However some aren't opinions are need to be fixed now 343 hasn't even attempted to do this... the game is been out for a while now and I feel as a fan since CE iv been kicked in the teeth.

  7. My concern was never that they fell short of the mark. My concern was the mark.

     

    Even if some things don't work, what I see Halo 4 as is a step in the wrong direction. They succeeded in their goals in this game, the problem was never that they didn't, the problem was the goals they set for themselves.

     

    Reach felt adolescent, like a bunch of amateurs had gotten ahold of the decision making in a Halo game. They tried to do well but the team working on it didn't have as much experience with multiplayer.

     

    Halo 4 feels deliberate and diabolical. They meant for it to play this way. They made mistakes for sure, but whereas the maps in Reach felt sloppy and uncoordinated, the maps in Halo 4 feel like they were designed to keep you moving and they do. The problem is Halo wasn't always about moving all the time.

     

    The difference with Halo 4 is that they had a different mission than they've had in every other Halo. They didn't set out to make a great game, they set out to make a very specific popular type of game. The last team wanted to make something great and fell short, this team wanted to make something that would sell. Who cares if no one wants to play it a year from now? We'll have a new "Halo" for them then.

  8. Finally 343 realised that they failed with Halo 4. Everyone makes mistakes and not every game is perfect, but how much mistakes is it until is considered to be a flop, 343 have crossed this line IMO. From the tons of glitches, which is frankly is to much to name... to the overall concepts and game-play mechanics with ruin the game and which are clearly outclassed by previous Halos.

     

    Halo 4 wasn't good enough, I know its gonna be hard to pull off but that's the challenge you took on.
