I would rather play with an AR on any small map. I almsot always can outshoot a DMR at close range. You should not go out into a BTB game with an AR, that is dumb.
They will be adding playlists as we go along. Don't freak out the game was released not even a week ago.
It's dumb to have to be restricted to a DMR in BTB. In Halo 3 I didn't have to worry besides the two with a BR and a sniper.

I am just saying it is 100% fair. If you are firings from getting hit with a DMR then spawn with a DMR and kill them. People asked to have everything be fast pace so here you go.
I agree it's fair. I don't want to have to be limited to a DMR to be on par with everyone else. I want to be able to walk around with a AR and have the same chance instead of having to vs 4 DMR's 24/7. Imo you should have to pick up that weapon. Another problem is the freakin ordinance.
Another question. Why no FFA instead of Regicide. Why no Classic Slayer. Why no Classic Team Slayer. No Classic BTB. Big **** up.

As much as this thread needs to be locked I completely agree with you. People are complaining way too much about how the DMR is unfair. People... If you and someone has a DMR then you are both equally available to kill the other person. It is like giving two people a test. The smartest person will do better. The most skilled person will do better. Now for those who complain that they get the first shot that means they are being more strategic than you and that they probably worked to get to the position they are in to kill you. The same position you could have got in as well.
It's not the fact that i think the DMR is op... It's not. The fact that everyone can run around with a battle rifle or DMR is ******* retarded. They were pick up weapons for a reason. It almost makes it no point to even have an assault rifle it seems. The whole time it's just long range combat. The fact that there is no classic playlist to avoid this is another stupid thing. Can't believe they thought it was the smartest thing to let you pick a DMR/BR/LR to spawn with. That's ******* ridiculous. Can't stress it enough
Stick your head out period in any game and it's instant death. In all the other halo's you're a prized possession to have a DMR or BR in a classic slayer playlist. Now it's just everyone has it and you can't live for more than two seconds.

Theyre Spartan IV's, not ODSTs. And I didn't think it would e that hard for people to understand. At the end if this campaign, Chief is tired. He has been wearing this armor for four years, and has saved humanity twice without taking it off. So when he has it taken off in front of all the Spartan IV's, he doesn't care about proving something to them or what they think, he just wanted to get it off, maybe because it reminded him of Cortana. And the comment Palmer made about him being taller? That's like a tease. There's no way chief would take that seriously. And throughout the game you can tell that the Spartan IV's respect him. Like when they all salute him after he defeats the Didact, and they were all staring at him when his armor was getting taken off out of respect for him. He's like a mythical hero to them. And the legendary "ending" where they show his eyes is real
I just finished legendary a couple minutes ago.

As a "die hard Halo fan" (10+ years of playing Halo) I think that the Halo series needed new game modes. Yes, the old game modes are/were fun but eventually the old game types got boring. New maps, gametypes, spawning, etc. is exactly what Halo needed to get people interested in it again. I'm not saying that a Classic mode is a bad idea, I'm just saying that not all "die hard" Halo fans want everything to stay the same, thats how games end up like C.o.D.
I'm not saying keep all other game modes out. I'm saying add it in. You don't have to play it die hard or not.

This is probably the best solution o the whole,h4 is cod argument, it gives the players what they want.
It's not the fact that the company should be like IW/Treyarch, It's just why wouldn't you put in a Classic mode for the die hard Halo fans who really appreciated the previous modes. Either way no matter what game or company, when the fans or community asks for something they might get it. Not all the time but that's what these forums/suggestion pages are for. Call it whatever you want but I honestly think this game should of came with a classic playlist in matchmaking. Hopefully in the near future I can see me and a 100,000 other players in the playlist.

so you want halo 3? well you can get it at gamestop if you would like its a good game i recomend it. but slayer pro is i think as close to classic as will get.
As much as I love Halo 3 it wouldn't be the same. I don't have Halo 3 anymore because of a tragic accident. Old Xbox took it's rage out on the disk. And honestly in any game franchise a lot of people are going to be wanting to play some sort of Classic mode. I think they can easily deliver.

Well first when I made this topic I don't know why I didn't think of the switching armor/shower/eat type thing because it really wasn't on my mind. Yea he can be switching his armor but I still don't understand why in front of the whole crew. If he wanted others to see his face and I guess realize he's human, he could just walk around with his helmet off. All the ODST seemed to do it. It doesn't seem that hard seeing as he has removed his helmet in the past by himself.

I'd like to see a classic mode.
No sprint.
No abilities.
No loadout.
No ordinance
No X to Respawn.
Regular weapon spawns.
No being slowed down whilst shot.
No the more you shoot the less accurate you are.
No bull****.
Forge World.
Anything else I need to add I might of forgotten

I saw nothing wrong with him Removing his armor. Spartans do that, you know - for repairs. He's been in that armor for 4+ years. It's time for a repair and upgrade. Did you flip out in halo 2 when he upgraded?
I didn't see an indication of switching armor. And why would he do it in front of EVERYONE

Yea I have yet to solo the legendary. I wanted to wait and settle for a bit. I will start it I guess.

Chief and Cortana is honestly the only bond in a game that's unique. In other games the AI's that you're a companion of just get annoying and in your way. They're never really there. Cortana is a part of Chief. Without her it's not the same game anymore... Big no no on 343's part.

My question. Why not get permission to port the forge world over from Reach at least.. Or at least make a blank canvas with some environment to it.. These maps aren't quite forge friendly imo... Though the new forge features are spectacular. +1 on that part.

Very disappointed and somewhat depressed because of how Cortana was killed like it was nothing it seems... I can kinda relate it the the Mass Effect 3 ending... imo....
What was the point in killing her off?
Why the hell would you even think about it?
Are you setting up for a future surprise in the 5th installment in which she transfers into a form of living tissue?
Most of all why the hell would you remove chiefs armor? Thankful they didn't show his face. Would've ruined the masked hero aspect.
I didn't read any of the books because when I got into Halo I wasn't interested to that point. If there is any info from the books I'm missing, please inform me.

I'm not even bad.... I shouldn't have to change my play style from Halo 3,2,1 it was fine. It's almost like having to watch out because everyone has a freaking sniper -.-
