  1. simple sulution... dont played the ranked playlist.. its already confirmed there are playlists that utilized the same exp ranking system that was in reach, so there you get what you want... but competitive players should get what they want as well.. a seperate playlist that utilizes and actual skill lvl ranking system, just to be clear on what i just said, there should be two playlist, social and ranked like in h3... if you dont want to play ranked and earn a "skill" lvl then stick to social and rank up that way, its two completley different things.. i just think its ignorant for someone that doesnt care for skill ranks to think it shouldnt be in the game cause they dont care for it... a lot of people probably agree with me

    I agree with you, i was just saying, there's alot of people who say they want it to be purely skill based.
  2. Every post i see says that they wish the ranking system would be purely skill based but i disagree. I think it's a much better idea to keep it exp based. think about it, if you' re rank only increased by how good you are, then the game would not be fun for players who aren't as skilled. at least with a exp system they can still level up and unlock new items etc... Although, I do believe you should rank up faster because of skill. In reach the system was very bad as rank was determined only because of time played. How it should work is you should get a small amount of credits based on game complete and then all of your kills and commendations should be what get you most of your credits

  3. lol, im only buying it for the armour/ armour skins. seeing as how it comes with the map pass youre really only paying about 15 dollars more for armour along with all the other little things that come with it. i dunno, it just doesn't seem worth the hassle of downgrading just to save a few dollars

Yeah, I'm sorry (if I sound preachy) Lord Satin, but until we can put ourselves in their shoes, judging over 100 submissions on Gameplay - Looks - Creativity, we shouldn't make rude comments about the THFE staff. This implies quite a bit of reviewing for each individual map, not to mention going through the versions that do not work with the gametype. I'm glad to see that they're taking their time to review everything, because we need to consider that the longer it takes them, the more-informed their final decision wil be. The Psycho Duck could not have said it better, patience is a virtue! I for one am also entered in the contest, and am very excited to hear the results - so I understand your anxiety (to a certain degree) but we must give them the time they require to make this decision. Anyways, that's my two cents on the situation.

     

    If you're really interested in seeing some of the maps that were entered, you can easily download some of them by typing in [PB THFE Contest] on the "New Custom Searchs" on Reach, because it will really give you all an idea of the enormity of their undertaking. If looking through all of those submissions does not interest you, I know Choot 'em has his posted somewhere (I won't put a link here without his permission) and I posted mine in the Mini-game section.     sorry, i didnt mean to sound rude, i wasnt thinking about how long it takes them to judge them. Niggles said that they had narrowed it down to 7 maps like 3 weeks ago i had just hoped that they would have chosen by now. it just seamed as if they'd forgotten about the contest, although, clearly they haven't.

  5. i think it would be cool if you made an infection gametype where everyone is in a big open room, then you have gravity fields all over the place that drag players in different directions. this way you could be running away from the infected when all of a sudden they get pulled the opposite way and you run away freely

  6. Now that version actually sounds like it might be fun. But i think the bases would look the same very often.

    what if they made it so you got random amounts of the different objects every game, that way you couldn't make the same base every time. also if you did get random amounts, you would still get the same amount of total items, the only difference would be the amount of specific items (e.g. you could get 5 walls 3 bunkers and 7 bridges one game, then the next you could get 3 wall 5 bridges and 7 bunkers)
