  1. I would very much love it if 343 gives us a chance to go to the Capital city of the Forerunner Empire, which I believe was the centre planet of their time. It is probably just ruins now, but there's a lot there for us to experience, and it would give the art team a fantastic opportunity to bring something new to the table like what they're doing with Halo 4.

  2. Frankie stated in an interview post ComicCon that all Pre-order bonuses (which are retailer exclusive) will eventually come out as a DLC pack on the Xbox Marketplace. The DLC pack will NOT include the LE and Console Armor, Armor Skins, and Weapons Skins. It will only include the pre-order bonuses. I will see if I can find the interview

In other words, not everyone will be a Unicorn if they have the Console Armour :P

It's nice to know that the LE and Console ones won't be available to everyone else, now I just need money for the Console seeing as I have the LE almost paid of.

And it's also nice to know the other pre-order bonuses will be available. There a few that have caught my eye which means I'll have to acquire them some way, seeing as I ordered from my local Blockbusters, they don't have any pre-order bonuses :(

  3. Nice artwork. Hope they have the moving main menu like in reach. its the little things that make the most of the game.

Exactly. I don't know why, but for me, one of the greatest things about Halo is the menu, when you put your disk in your xbox, sit back as the game loads, and then the main menu comes on, the movement of the scenery, the music being played. Stuff like that in Halo just doubles my love for the franchise.

As for the picture, it reminds me of Cryptum when Bornstellar and The Didact visit Charum Hakkor, and then later find out a Halo commenced a test firing on the planet, releasing The Timeless One. Apologies if this has already been mentioned, that's just what I think of when I see the picture.

    Fantastic artwork as well.

  4. it's been pretty much confirmed that it's a cryptum

    Then the question remains;

    Who revived the Didact?

Like my post earlier on in the thread, Bornstellar helped revive the original Didact, and to do so he had to carefully ensure that the Didact got the fluids that were supplied in the correct order and with excruciating delicacy. And if the Didact is walking and talking, then who revived him?

As well I think a few people have said that it could be a different version of a Cryptum, the one the original Didact was in had the purpose to fulfil his exile, so perhaps this Cryptum is a different version to allow the being to enter a cryo state so that someone else doesn't need to resuscitate him?

But there's also the possibility that it's not the Didact's personal Cryptum. So many questions! November need's to hurry!

  5. Some people have said it feel's like past Halo's, and not to forget Master Chief is back and this time we get to have a new adventure with him, so that's a great start!

But only way to tell how it compares to the other past games is by first hand experience playing it :)

And it's 343i doing it. New company, new minds and old minds who are very passionate about the Halo series coming together to give us this new trilogy sounds amazing to me, especially with all the new additions to the franchise, one thing in particular is how everything is tied in with the UNSC infinity.

And Spartan Ops, which is almost like a secondary campaign. A lot of great things are heading our way and this is just the start! :)

  6. Force Colonel xD

43 in Lone Wolves, and then I have Team Slayer, Team Swat, and MLG in the 30's. I think I got MLG to 37 once, which I was extremely proud of, but I just can't budge my Lone Wolves. I have to get a replacement copy of Halo 3, so I'll give it another shot, or just play BTB until halo 4 comes out.

  7. I would guess that it would be improved Spartan III enhancements. If I'm not mistaken Spartan III's could also join at any age and didn't have to have the perfect genes.

Though now that I think about it, if the UNSC fixed the augmentation process, then Spartan IV's could be better than Spartan II's. They most likely have the same training as Spartan III's (which is superior to Spartan II's), and similar enhancements to Spartan II's. But we don't know how they augment them.

True, from what I remember the candidates of the Spartan III's ranged from 4 - 6/7, and were orphans from the Human-Covenant war if that's what you meant for the first paragraph? (Correct me if I'm wrong, I sometimes have trouble understanding what others are saying).

And I guess we'll have to wait and see if Halo: The Thursday War (The sequel to Glasslands) has any more information on the augmentation process of the Spartan IV's. It's due out beginning of October, and it would be a nice addition to the book for a bit more information on the Spartan IV project.

  8. No they still genetically enhance them. They were planning on doing this originally (ORION project) but the technology at the time made it impossible to perform on adults, so they had to use children.

Now in 2557 the technology is good enough to genetically enhance adults.

I wonder what kind of genetic enhancements the Adult volunteers go under?

Hopefully a variation of the Spartan II programme, seeing as in the Spartan III programme, they had to have regular injections to combat the negative effects of some of the enhancements.

  9. Ah, yes, now i remember.

It's logic. Better Mjolnir, better soldier, no need anymore to train them since 6 years old.

But then, all the magic behind the Spartans is vanquished.

    No more Super-Soldiers almost immortals.

No more "Walking tank" imposing guys.

    Sigh.

We still have the Chief! I'm hoping that something will happen between the Spartan IV's and him, resulting in Chief showing he's better then the IV's. One can dream!

  10. To clarify to people, I don't think we'll be able to use ANY before we reach level 60.

Correct, the Mod itself (The thing that gives you the ability in accordance with the Specialization) won't be available until you reach level 10 of the Specialization that you chose when you reached Level 50. At least that's what I think it's set out as.

  11. Wouldn't be that difficult to have MLG in Halo 4, playlist wise.

BS Angel has confirmed there will be playlists in Halo 4 that will have no Loadouts or Armour mods, so MLG can adopt that for their playlist hopefully, keep true to just the BR/Pistol starter weapons.

As for Halo 4 at events, it would be fantastic to see, especially for the players and the spectators, the players have said it feels like Halo, the spectators WANT to see Halo, I believe they even had/have a voting thing on their site asking what they want to see on the circuit and Halo is right at the top of that?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Halo that helped shape MLG to become what it is today?

  12. I'm very curious about this, because when Bornstellar found the Didact in his cryptum, Bornstellar had to help feed the Didact's body the fluids it required to revive the body to the point where the Didact was live and well.

My question is, if he's walking and talking in this new trilogy, who revived the Didact?

Please correct me if I'm wrong at all, I just typed what I remember from Cryptum.

  13. Will was the second spartan after master chief to take on a hunter in unarmed combat and succeed (before he was killed by another hunter).

I remember reading that, how all the Elite's stood there amazed at how a Human was taking on a Hunter. Ah man the books are just simply perfect.

  14. I have. And it's a funny story, actually.

At first i pre-ordered the Limited Edition. Then i noticed my Xbox 360 was kinda messing up, not reading the games sometimes for 10 whole minutes before i can play. So i cancelled my Limited Edition pre-order and pre-ordered the Xbox 360 Bundle instead.

Then i noticed that you only get the standard edition of the game with the console bundle.

End of story is i have pre-ordered the Limited Edition AND the console bundle and i have never spent this much money on any game ever before. But i'll sell the standard edition of the game and any codes that i may have twice, so it's all good :D

Pretty much my situation right now, my lasers gone! But I can still play Minecraft so it's alright :')

Luckily someone in my area repairs xbox 360's, he can repair my other xbox (runners came of) and replace the laser in the xbox I'm currently using, which is fantastic, it means I don't have to fork out money for a new xbox, I can save up to get the Halo 4 xbox!

And I have the Limited Edition of Halo 4 pre-ordered, I still have £20 to pay of, but that should be done soon. Then I'll get money together for the Halo 4 Xbox. I'm glad Halo 4's out November 6th, means I have enough time to get money together, somehow, someway!
