  1. I almost forgot I had Halo 4 |:

    Need some new dlc, I don't really have any incentive to play it to be honest. Had my fun with it, good Campaign, and yeah. Surprised Black Ops 2 is at the top, the numbers when I've been playing haven't been that high at all. I guess because I'm GMT I don't get to see peak hours for other countries as I'm no doubt asleep in my bed! So maybe there's more to it then I'm seeing.

  2. That's like, 800 - 1200 pounds for me I think. Which is roughly what I've spent on for my computer build, so I think my wallet deserves a nice long break from buying stuff lol :P Maybe in the future when its on sale or something. Looks complete epic, but I could imagine my bank account like "Ah here we go again :/", so I'll pass.

    But if they sent me it for free I wouldn't mind :P

  3. MLG is just an annoying term to me now, it has no meaning.

    All the kids thinking they're the next Neighbor/Roy -.-

    The mature side are great though, props to them for having balls and being respectful to others.

    As for the topic, I think they just need to finalise what maps they want in now? I believe there are some Forge maps for MLG V1 settings already, but 343 haven't included any Forge maps into MM yet, so the playlist could take a while. Unless they just plan to role Haven, Adrift, and Abandon to start, but I feel the MLG community would want a range of maps to play, so it could take a little while.

  4. I'm pretty much in the same position, burnt out on FPS games.

    You could give the reboot Devil May Cry game a go, comes out mid January. It's got the Force Unleashed style to it (I may get corrected as I've never played any of the DMC games, but I plan to pick up this reboot), demo was glorious!

    The Assassin Creed games if you haven't already, just because they're a blast to play, time consuming, and I love the story.

    Minecraft, if you love to let your imagination run wild. Apart from that, I don't have much else to recommend.

    If you're looking for new books to read;

    Eoin Colfer -

    Artemis Fowl series

    Garth Nix -

    Old Kingdom series

    The Keys To The Kingdom series

    Anthony Horowitz -

    The Power of Five series

    Trudi Canavan -

    The Black Magician series

    Darren Shan -

    The saga of Darren Shan series

    The Demonata series

    All of these books were a fantastic read. And I thought I'd put this as well incase theres a chance you're looking for new reading material as well. I'm not promising you you'll enjoy them, but if you're interested you could always see if they're in your nearest library.

    Or just download something like Reader for PC, then torrent the book series and give them a shot, see what you make of them :)

  5. Maybe I'll be able to get into games in other playlists with players my skill. I feel like I'm being stomped on all the time, probably because I'm terrible haha, but I wonder if this will help the skill match up system thing.

  6. Here's hoping they price the consoles right. Especially Sony, I remember when the PS3 just released, it was like £400 ($600?). If they do that again, no doubt the new xbox will sell more then the PS4. I could be wrong, but I'm just hoping they don't do it like that for the PS4, it's not fair for the consumers to spend that sort of money. So incase they do, start saving up now :P

  7. Not exactly. While we experience the events he will be going through in Halo 5, there could be moments where we are thrust into his past to relive some of what he went through. Flashbacks.

    I would love that idea. One of the flashbacks would have to be when Chief and Cortana are first together, when they have to get through a training session, but some of the people watching wanted to see him fail, so they made sure there were marines using live rounds, an area was buried with land mines, and so on. I hope those of you who read the novels remember what scene I'm trying to describe. I apologise for lack of detail, I have the scene in my mind but the words escape me lol.

    But yeah they should do the tradition where they wait a couple years or so for each Halo game to be released.

  8. By the way I don't determine how good you are by your K/D, but instead by how you play the objective.

    Darn...I guess I suck. :(

    Then stay away from me... :P

    I switch between objective playing and slaying, if the team needs it, I'll spend time in the hill as long as they need me to. If everyones there, I'll go on the outskirts and try and keep enemy players away.

    But lately, I MAY just be all about that slaying...

    -Cough-

  9. Not bothered to be honest. It's understandable after Reach most of the population just went away.

    And people probably have moved on with their lifes, and some of them probably switched over to other games, moved onto computer gaming.

    Me I don't see what the big deal is with population numbers. Don't see how that effects me enjoying the game that I paid for.

  10. Everyone with their high self control and then there's me like;

    Don't look at anything Jord! -Clicks on everything-

    And if you look at my sig, imagine you're where Luke Skywalker is and a copy of Halo 4 is where the lightsaber is.

    I'll be like that when I'm at my midnight release and I can see it behind the counter xD

  11. Maybe the legendary scene could consist of Faber (The Master Builder) approaching an imprisoned Didact.

    As for Cortana dying, I imagined that Chief and Cortana are on the planet that the Forerunners used as their capital. A barely usable holo platform is working among the Forerunner structures, Cortana appears on the platform.

    The Chief sits down, and takes of his helmet (The camera angles would consist of being behind Chief, so we don't see his face, or looking upon Cortana while the Chief and her talk). Cortana would talk about how it's beautiful there, so much lost knowledge.

    Then some more conversation, and I know this is a cheesy, but perhaps the sun sets in the distant, the Chief watches it, then turns back to Cortana only to find that she's not there anymore, and the holo platform has died out as well.

    Then it goes to dark.

    The dark could symbolize both how lonely Chief is without her in the years to come, as well as showing how the Chief would have to go back to how he did things before being intertwined with Cortana.

    Maybe as the screen goes dark, the screen gets glitchy, and it shows Cortana (like it did in Halo 3), and she says;

    "I knew I chose the best. Make me proud, John." As Chief walks to a transport that has just landed on the planet.

  12. If I'm honest I like the idea of standard edition people getting helmets with the pass.

    If they're unable to get the LE, they can still buy the map pass, and they get an added treat!

    Where as those who have the limited edition, we have;

    - Great looking case

    - War Games Pass

    - Instant access to all 8 specializations (No waiting for them to be unlocked over time once we reach SR-50)

    - UNSC Infinity briefing package, with goodies

    - Extended edition of FUD

    - A bunch of downloadable stuff

    Very grateful I was able to secure a copy, definitely will look great in my room :) Next to my Halo books once I secure all them!

    Can't wait to get my hands on the game. Thankfully I'm getting me some security (In the form of a sibling and her German Shepard :D) to escort me to the midnight release and back, as I'm wary about going out so late (I'm a weakling, I know!)

    I might of just rambled...I do apologize if I did, a second book I ordered arrived today. It's set in the Shannara universe, by Terry Brooks. Fantasy type books, absolutely adore them :)

    I'm going to stop rambling now >.>

  13. I was getting a Ur-Didact/Faber feel from the figure.

    I say Ur-Didact because I'm not sure how extensive the brevet mutation on Bornstellar was. I remember in the 2nd Forerunner trilogy book that Bornstellar mentions that Bornstellar only lives on through his dreams. But the way the character was portrayed is what gives me the Ur-Didact feel from the trailer, as the portrayal of the Bornstellar Didact did not match that of the Ur-Didact's portrayal. But I guess that's in no small part due to the Librarian's influence on Bornstellar, sort of a new Didact, a better Didact sort of thing.

    As for the Faber (The Master Builder) feel...figure was menacing, his size and form shows power and dominance, and the fact that the figure did not speak in the trailer suggests that the silence shows that the figure is beyond our comprehension, as much as we will try, we'll never begin to understand what and who the figure is. (Much like the connection of Protheans to the primitive races in the Mass Effect universe).

    The stare off between the Chief and the figure reminded me of the court session in Cryptum, where Bornstellar and Faber look at each other in silence.

    But I'm probably trying to look into it to much, and I've probably rambled so I do apologize :P

  14. I personally loved the trailer. The only two things I would of liked to of seen;

    - At the end when the stare off happens, I would of liked to of seen the Forerunner speak.

    - The beach scene. I would of liked to of seen the king of the hill scene described in the Fall of Reach novel, where Halsey and Mendez (I believe it was him with Halsey, can't remember >.<) went to evaluate John. Wouldn't of needed to see their faces, maybe John looking at Halsey (With the camera behind Halsey looking down at John) and then the camera zooms in to show the coin moving through the air.

    The Forerunner scanning Chief definitely intimidated me. I was getting a UR-Didact/Faber feel from the figure.

    Overall pretty amazing. Wasn't expecting the trailer to be as it was, the snippets of John going through the Spartan Program was a nice touch.

    I'll admit, Chief jumping and attacking Promethean Knights was lame and uninteresting. Here's how it should have been imo.

    Well Halo 4's campaign and Spartan Ops will have us attacking...

    Actually I'll let you see for yourself :P

    I liked the scene. It shows Chief's determination to overcome any enemy. The twist where Chief gets thrown was well executed, as it demonstrates what 343 are trying to do. They're throwing Chief into the unknown, against a threat he has no knowledge of. Chief is already known as the Hero, they have to find a way to strip that from him, and plunge him once again at the start of the Hero's journey.

    John being suspended in that...force field (?), having his memories torn from his mind and exposed to the figure, being thrown by the Promethean. Great ways of showing that this is a threat that John is struggling against. But like always, John will give them hell before he gets taken down.

  15. Well, again, I'll reiterate what I said before, if your downgrading because of the news, you don't know how to appreciate the value of the LE versions.

    To long didn't read version: LE versions are very awesome, especially for the games that I love. I'm still trying to get the Skyrim CE!

    I agree. As soon as I heard about the LE version of H4, I started saving for it. Comes with lots of goodies, in a good looking case, and the fact that it's a Limited Edition

    Recently I've had the opportunity to start getting back Games I have played and loved in the past. I went through a phase where I would trade most my games in just for one new game -.-

    I managed to get my hands on the GOTY version of Fable 2, and the limited edition version of Force Unleashed 2.

    I like getting Limited Edition versions of video games. It'll look nice in my room, and well, not everyone will have one which is always a bragging right (In a kind way). And it's always nice to remember the times when you saved up for the LE copy of the game, and then when you finally get your hands on it and looked through everything. I don't have Reach anymore, but I still have Halsey's journal thing xD
