Why does this surprise people. Halo Reach was awful. Competitive gamers dont want to play Reach. Hence Halo Reach not on the competitive circuit. Yeah it's a damn shame but i mean they cant force people to want to play an awful game (no offense). Hopefully Halo 4 brings back the competitive gamers.

Doubtful. And if they do theyll take away some of my favorite parts such as BXRing, double shots, superjumping, getting out of maps, ect. Itll never be the same.

I honestly loved everything about Halo 2. Wouldn't change a thing.
edit- nevermind just read the post before mine. I would agree, they should put the servers back up for Halo 2 multiplayer.

Just wanna say how I miss back when around H3 first came out and when me and all my friends would spend hours looking for all the skulls and stuff in campaign. Like all those easter eggs too and ish. Those were the days...

Not bothering to read the posts in the thread but they're definitely going to have a new next gen console soon. The 360s are not nearly sturdy enough to last..well forever. I've only had mine for like 4 or 5 years and its beat to ****. Doesn't hold up like the N64 does..

I played the first two, just not at their release dates. I didn't play Combat Evolved until 2004. I loved it. My friend got Halo 2 a few months after release and we played hours together. What I meant was that I wasn't there for their releases, not that I never played them.
Either way, you werent there for the prime. You never got to understand all the hype and thrill around it when Halo was in its prime. Halo was THE game back in the day, CoD honestly wasnt anywhere close in popularity

I read the OP, but didnt bother reading the rest. But I am just gonna say this to the original poster- you're saying that a "true diehard Halo player" should just stop complaining and live with the changes, but if you picked up the game at the Halo 3 stage, you can not consider yourself a "true hardcore, diehard, death to the grunts halo fan". You never got to see Halo in its prime and glory. You never got to understand why those of us who were there in the beginning loved the old ones so much better, and hate all the changes. That's just my 2 cents..

Halo 2. Halo 3 was way too easy to rank up. In Halo 2, I got a 37 and was damn proud of it. Anybody who was above like a 42(who got it legit) were extremely talented. Halo 3 on the other hand i got 50's in 4 playlists as well as being high 40's in the others..it was just too easy to rank up. As someone said before, some kids with 50's could be amazing while others could be awful.
