yeah but that was years before halo 4.I guess hate wasn't the word I should've used. Dont get me wrong it was a fantastic ending, I just hated the fact that Chief (and we) lost Cortana.
The one thing I don't understand is Halsey. Cortana could've been fixed much sooner, because according to Halo: The Thursday War, Halsey was ON Infinity, being held captive in the engine room sewing together mail bags or something. Unless she got moved between the end of the book and Halo 4, I don't see why Chief just didn't say something to Lasky about it. BUT, in the book BB (Black Box) was Infinity's AI, and seeing how he wasn't there in Halo 4 means a bit of time has passed between the two stories.

my friends didnt read the books and figured it out quickAs I already mentioned, I've only played the games (and I imagine that's true for the majority of Halo players). Reading the books shouldn't be a prerequisite to fully understand what's going on in Halo 4. I don't care for the books talking about an ancient human civilization, not one bit. It somehow feels contradictory to what went on between 1-3, as if we were just lied to.
i now people are mad they dont have all the answers did you all really think they wouls do one game after 5 years???The Forerunner as a whole left nothing behind for the humans. Only the Librarian did. And they can activate forerunner things because the two species are really closely related because both of them were artificially made by the precursors. So chances are they made them similar on purpose.
The first Halo game hardly explained anything besides that the Covenant thought the ancient people were gods, and that the Halo ring destroyed all life in its range, and the Covenant planned on using it for their "Great Journey" (which I don't believe that term was coined yet, actually the whole Great Journey concept wasn't even made until Halo 2, upon learning this I decided that Combat Evolved is a terrible game). Why the hell were space zombies in the game? Why did the Covenant even hate the humans? But luckily Combat Evolved was further complemented by two more games. Fortunately for us two more games are expected to follow Halo 4, what a relief.

he sayshe is the didact in the fist cutscene with him and later the librarian calls him the didact.How do Cortana and the Chief know that the Forerunner they meet is in fact the Didact?
Maybe I missed it but Cortana seems to just pluck the name out of the air, and then everyone (even the Librarian, with whom they've had no contact) refers to him as such for the rest of the game. It seems as though there's no canonical way for them to know that this guy is the Didact until the meet the Librarian and she lays it out for them
Their in-game logic seems to be "I read about a Forerunner called the Didact once, I just met a Forerunner, therefore that Forerunner is the Didact" - no dice, this doesn't work

this is all true not to mention he is talking at the end and he is a cool villian if you dont like his face you cant lie his armor was nice as was his helmet he is cool and i think a lot of people liked him he will be back.He fell into a splispace portal. Cortana points out its existance. Also the layout of the ship is confusing as you are in space, but basically up is down and down is up, so he completely misses the Composer's beam also.

i think she is dead and next campain will be about chief and arbiter fighting maybe the didact if he isnt dead and i dont think he is. and chief gets a new AI but they dont get along because chief feels nothing will replace cortana butby the end of halo 5 they will have become friends and chief will move on past cortana that my theory.

i like this game.
so do a lot of people except trolls like ELVIS7. it will have problems like all games do and no game is perfect but i havent found all that much i dont like.

Halo Lover- 343i would certainly deserve it if the game was capable of running full 8 v 8 Objective gameplay. I know too many people already disgusted by having been disrespected so hard opening week... they better get BTB: OBJ running and fast... 8 v 8 is standard on XBL. STANDARD!!!
i havent had any problems since opening day and know no one except you who is still bitching about it.

i see the pros and cons but id have to say the pros are better this allows friends to have fun more quickly not to mention if your team leaves you have a fighting chance. iv only joined a game at the end once so i dont find it to be a big deal. and lets face it every fps has this now a days halo needed to get outof the stone age.

1) if you want forge world go play halo reach (not alot of fans liked forge world)
2) if you want the old game types go play halo reach
3) Solace is an awesome map for slayer its one of the best on the game
4) if you have connection problems that sucks to be you it really does
5) the xp cap is to make sure people dont play through all the ranks in a week which i bet some of you have tried to do
6) this is not 343s website but a fan site if you want them to read comments go to waypoint

the game is fun the loadouts are balanced the guns are all amazing in there own way the sound and graphics are great the rank system has been good so far seeing as how we get a skilled system in a few months the maps are all unique in there own way and are balanced and fun the betrayal system has worked fine for me the only time i have even been betrayed was getting run over your complaints are small and foolish the game has been off to a good start except for the first day server issues which have been fixed time will tell but this is the best halo multiplayer since halo 2 in my opinion. my only compaint is the ghost is OP.No faults sure...LOL matchmaking is a giant train wreck right now. H3 had a real ranking Reach destroyed that and H4 just gives rank away likes its candy. A teammate can destroy your vehicle but you cant boot him because friendly fire is off. The DMR is so overpowered its pretty much a sniper rifle now.

so you want halo 3? well you can get it at gamestop if you would like its a good game i recomend it. but slayer pro is i think as close to classic as will get.

and lots of games have this problem on launch day bf3 did and 343 is a new company.Unable to connect to Halo 4 servers. Wooooooo first impression of 343 = two thumbs down. Did you not expect people to play the game?

yeah what he said lol i ment installInsert disc 2, that will start the launcher atuomatically, you don't download anything, you transfer files from the disc to your hard drive.

have you downloaded the 2nd disc?Mine won't even let me play. All it tells me player is missing downloadable content. Any help would be GREAT.

i played about 2 rounds with my friend now everytime we try to play together on any game type it says failed to connect or kicks one of us out if we do manage to be in a party the game is awesome but its annoying we both were gonna play campain together now i guess we have to wait
