I was making a subway-themed Flood map on erosion and I got EXACTLY the lighting I wanted, the PERFECT amount of exposure, barely any light with just the perfect amount of light to give it that creepy, gritty feeling. Then, with more than HALF MY BUDGET LEFT, I place the last room of my masterpiece. THEN THE DYNAMIC LIGHTING STOPS WORKING! THIS HAS RUINED MY ENTIRE MAP! MY DARK, CREEPY TUNNELS ARE NOW BATHED IN GREEN LIGHT! I PUT MY HEART AND SOUL INTO THIS MAP! IT WAS GOING TO BE MY BEST ONE YET! IT WAS EXACTLY AS I HAD PICTURED IT! THEN THE AMAZING NEW LIGHTING SYSTEM FREAKS ON ME BECAUSE I USED LESS THAN HALF MY BUDGET! HOLY CRAP, 343, MY MAP IS RUINED NOW! THE ONLY WAY TO GET MY LIGHTING BACK IS TO DELETE A ROOM! MY MAP IS GOING TO BE A PIECE OF CRAP NOW BECAUSE I CAN'T HAVE BOTH BASIC STRUCTURES AS WELL AS A ROOM WITH LINE OF SIGHT BLOCKERS! WHY WOULD YOU GIVE US THIS LIGHTING SYSTEM WHEN IT ONLY WORKS FOR HALF OUR BUDGET? I EXPECT A PATCH! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the devs can make big maps without breaking the lighting, what's stopping the forgers? I don't see why 343 can't put just a little more effort into giving us the proper tools to make a map.
