In the series they are basically stranded on a ship and they have to somehow make a way back to earth using their stargate, and they find out they are about 7 billion lightyears from earth... anyways, they go to different planets for supplies and stuff and come across different challenges for every planet... i think spartan ops will be very similar to this because the spartans are on a ship (UNSC Infinity) and they go on various missions (maybe to different planets) and eventually make it to the planet Master Chief is at (Requiem) and on the various missions we will face different challenges...
