First of all keep the truskill technology but implement the following game changer.

Have 200+ pre-built clans (with announcer voiceover) that are earned through skill. Here's how:

 

1. The announcer knows and announces clan names before battle (example: Blue Fox vs Red Lions).

2. The lobby becomes a vs screen like Mortal Kombat or street fighter showing your decorated spartan.

3. Now instead of top 30 clans and 1 million unknown player created clans we now have a real identity in clan battles that are earned through skill.
