How do you sign out of a temporary profile?

So I had a group of 10 over last night to play Halo 4 via system link.  We signed in all the guests using a temporary profile which is quick and assigns the guest a temporary name (see image 1).  However, we could not sign them out (for example, when one guest had to leave, we could not back them out of our party.  We had to restart the xbox)

 

We could not figure this out.  If a someone signs in as an xbox live guest then you simply click the "Xbox Guide Button" on the controller and it allows you to sign out.  If someone signs in as a temporary profile and you click the "Xbox Guide Button" on the controller, the dashboard asks to sign you in (see Image 2).  In past Halo games you simply click the B button.

 

So, how do you sign out of a temporary profile?

To sign out of the temporary profile, you go out of the War Games menu or reset the controller. 

 

I tend to have problems doing this often times though, if you're playing offline it's generally better to just use local accounts.
