"Cindy i told you im never going to get off this godforsaken planet working in the mines like my dad" i answered her question. What if something happens to you? Her dark brown eyes withheld a tear Jake held her hands and said I promise you nothings going to happen to Cindy. I'll be back to visit you by next Christmas The cold night with the full moon on the colony world revium ll the breeze feels good after a hot summer day. A Moment of silence Passes by with both of them looking into each others eyes she asks him" what if something does happen to you"? "dont worry about me Cindy just focus on takeing care of your family and stay out of trouble. Jack holds her from her waist and looks into her eyes. he leans in to give the girl of his dreams a kiss as a eyes closed they savor each other's lips never wanting the moment to end when all of a sudden something feels wrong Jack opened his eyes instead of beautiful brown eyed girl standing there stood a corpse with fourth degree burns covering her entire body. The moon turns red and the ground beneath their feet has turned the glass the air is unbearably hot Jack turns back to Cindy only to find no one.there was only glass were she stood. Cindy! Screamed Jack. Jack felt that someone was behind him and he turns around and sees a familiar figure. a covenant elite with his energy sword drawn.As the elit moves forward on his prey Jack realizes that he cant Move as the elite comes closer and closer ready to plunge the crackling twin blades of his energy into him fear and hopelessness take over jack. When all of a sudden out of no were jack hears a familiar voice calling his name The elite roared and lunged forward but before the elite could plunge his sword into jack a white light over came the nightmare and a choking sensation overwhelms jack. Jack falls to the floor and throws up the lime flavored mucus that kept his body safe durring cryo sleep. You okay buddy? asked Anthony. Yeah I just had a rough dream answered jack Well hurry up captains waiting for us in the briefing room. The last thing Jack wanted to do was go to briefing he was still thinking about the chared corpse in his nightmare when all of a sudden Anthony hands him a towel. Any idea why were out here ask Anthony no answer Jack all I know is that there's some covenant ******** down there who are unlucky to be running into us today. Damn straight said private 1st class Daniel. As staff sergant jack hollands got dressed he couldn't shake the thought of the chared corpse. It's been over 3 years since his home world was glassed by the covenant. But it still haunted him. Millions op people dead Cindy included and there was nothing he could have done to save them.
