massive lag in spartan ops

online spartan ops lags so bad for me. online matchmaking doesn't as much but spartan ops does so bad that i can't play. 

any ideas on why this happens and how to fix it? i enjoy spartan ops probably more than competitive matchmaking because i love working in a team against the covenant

Unfortunately, unless you have an extremely fast internet connection with a very low ping time, there isn't a lot you can do about the lag in Spartan Ops - for some reason, Halo's netcode really doesn't like maps with AI and large numbers of NPCs. If at all possible, try playing over a LAN connection or in splitscreen, as otherwise there will be noticeable lag, however small. If you can't play over a LAN, the next best thing is to try and make sure nobody else is using your internet connection while playing, and ideally partying up with someone who has a good connection of their own.

This is simple. Make sure any devices on your modem are inacive or disconnected. Like dont touch your computer, turn offf your phone and anything else. Not to mention players on Live who might suffer the same problems.
