Halo 4 Tritton Trigger Headset mic problem. Please help!!

Not sure I can help with the limited details but may be able to give you a few troubleshooting tips. You may need a friend to go in with you to help ie. party chat or private chat.

  1. Check to see that you haven't been mute banned on XBL. If so, you will have to wait until the ban is lifted to use the mic feature.
  2. Assure that all connections are properly inserted.
  3. With the headset on and plugged in, while speaking into the mic wiggle the wires closest to the input jacks to test if it may be a loose wire. If any sound transmits through the headset, whether solid voice or static, then loose wire is the issue.
  4. If all of the above has been attempted then it may be possible that one of the audio wires to the mic itself has been broken or disconnected inside of the shielded cable.
  5. Contact customer support with warranty information and possible return of item.

If it is a mute ban, you can tell by going into MM with a friend (not in party chat) to see if the mute logo is next to your GT. It's the circle with the line through it where the mic logo would normally be. Since the mic is inoperable, get a friend to message you stating whether the mute logo is there or not. Also, mute ban should only appear in MM, not in a Customs games lobby.
