NO CODE?

I got a new Xbox and halo on black friday, I am capped at level 70 and hear about codes for specializations being sent. Does this mean i wont get a code because i didnt play before the 20th? I love playing halo online but cant see a reason to buy map packs ect... when im already capped at 70 but see many others above. I had no idea you had to buy limited to rank higher......... I really like the game but seeing alot of others rank higher makes me pissed that my $60 isnt enough to get the full game LOL To many good gamesout there to play to be treated like this
