doodoopie
Along with the ability to perform assisinations, it would be nice to have some sort of immediate defense against it as well. I find myself all too often trying to outrun someone that is behind me. They are so close to me once I finally see them on my radar that I have no choice. I can't turn around fast enough to respond. Maybe if I could throw an elbow back? Or swing the knife out in a backhand fashion. Just an idea.
LiQuid BioniX
Here's what I do. Check your radar, and when they get right behind you, look straight at the ground and jump backwards right over top of them. Then, give 'em a good 'ol backsmack and they'll think twice. It's obviously not foolproof, but I've been doing it successfully since Halo 3 and it's the best option for me.

Mad
Why don't you simply adjust your sensitivities, my friend plays on 10 and he turns around instantly.
Natsu
The thruster pack and backwards ninja jump are perfect for assassinating the guy behind you. I've even used the jetpack to some effect, by jumping back and up and Boosting a little bit. Most people look up and whiff their punch since you are too high up.
