He approaches Chief like a friend, and seems to connect with him in a way other characters don't. And his quote at the end, about soldiers and machines, relates too well to John. I have a feeling Lasky will be as close to Chief as Sergeant Johnson was. Just speculating here. Who could possibly become John's new partner in Halo 5? Could it be Arbiter? Spartan IV's? Maybe...
