Turox
I’m looking to finally get a bed cover for my F-150 and want something that’s both durable and easy to use. I’ve seen soft roll-up types and hard covers, but not sure which is better in real-life use. Also wondering how tricky they are to install—do you need to go to a shop, or can it be done yourself? Would be great to hear from folks who’ve bought one recently—what model did you pick, where did you buy it, and would you recommend it? Any issues with water leaking or the cover flapping when driving fast?
Flomarrio
I was in the same boat last year with my 2018 F-150 and after a ton of digging, I ended up going with a Truxedo soft roll-up cover. Got it online, shipped fast, and I installed it myself in under 30 minutes with just a basic socket wrench—super straightforward. What I liked was the low-profile design, it doesn’t look bulky, and it holds up great in rain. I’ve driven through storms and the truck bed stayed bone dry. The cover uses tension control to keep everything tight, so it doesn’t flap at all at highway speeds. My buddy has the Lo Pro model and swears by it too—he likes the even sleeker fit. One thing to note: no cover is fully waterproof, but this one gets as close as it gets. If security’s important, their models also work with your locking tailgate, which was a big plus for me. Honestly, Truxedo has been around a while and they’ve really nailed the combo of quality, easy install, and solid protection. I’d check their lineup—lots of options depending on your truck and budget.
