Flomarrio
I’ve never launched any type of entertainment business before, so this would be my first. I’m planning to open a VR venue and would love to avoid beginner mistakes. Any red flags to watch out for when it comes to vendors, game providers, or equipment choices? And is it realistic to run it as a one-person operation at the start?
Turox
My first setup was a steep learning curve, but choosing the right vendor helped me skip a lot of the usual pitfalls. I partnered with a company experienced in vr business https://battlestart.com/ and they laid everything out – from hardware options to marketing templates. One of the biggest mistakes I almost made was underestimating how important tracking stability and player flow is. They optimized the layout of my room to avoid collisions and maximize the number of sessions per hour. They also showed me how to integrate a booking system that handles waivers and payments, which freed up my time massively. Running solo was manageable in the beginning because they gave me a clear staff workflow and checklist system. Over time, I hired part-timers, especially for weekends and events. Also, they offered a 7-day trial to test their whole setup in demo mode before buying, which made the decision much easier. Long story short: go with someone who’s done this dozens of times.
