Oh wow! Excellent work! Love the new gun designs. The gun HUD looks kinda like Half-Life xD.
Ha thanks! Half Life is a huge influence, maybe that's where it came from
Wow, Jaime! Those are some improvements you've done! I really, really like the gun designs themselves, as well as the field of view you've given the player. Keep these changes, mate.
Thank you, it was a huge gamble to attempt to switch the camera over to PBR lighting and rendering, but it looks so much better!
I've posted a development vlog regarding a closed pre-alpha test build that focuses on the gun-play and enemy encounters.
As my first commercial game to-be, I ask if any one has interest in giving it a go and providing some feedback to send me a msg at contact[at]rangeplusone.com It would be so much to have community feedback and input from other perspectives!
You can check my vlog out here!

Well, in any case, I truly wish you the best of luck! Lots of work ahead, but it'll pay off in the end! I saw how you presented it on the Steam Greenlight page. Try to keep that up, especially if you're going to take donations from others to support the game. Many people will, and in my opinion, this is truly awesome and worth it. Keep up the good work. Good luck, mate.
Def lots of work but feels like it just may be coming together! I really appreciate the kind comments, super motivating!

Very, very intriguing indeed. With some work, and a bigger pocket, this could be a pretty good game! I see you've thought out the mechanics well (Thinking gets you places)! How much work do you have left exactly? You can definitely count on my vote.
Thanks! I would say in total I'm about 20% done, it's still got a hell of a long way to go. I plan to do Kickstarter in the next month or two to attempt custom enemy models and animations. Since I'm REALLY restricted right now to do anything in terms of unique enemy design that's one thing that extremely limits me, but it's only a matter of time really.

This shows a lot of promise. I will be following the development with much interest. And yes, I would be interested in seeing this on Steam in the future, so you have one more "Yes" vote.
Thanks a lot for the vote, cheers!!

Hey guys, new user here - just thought I'd say hi, introduce a bit of myself and go from there!
So I guess like everyone else here we're all fans of Halo and anxiously awaiting the next installment. A few all time favs are Halo, Half-Life and Starsiege Tribes, (FPS SciFi's kick ***!) I recall when I first saw the horizon line or sky when playing Halo it blew me away as a kid, seeing how epic the environment really was. Always kept that in mind for when I made levels in Half-Life or any game I could make levels for. Finally, I am a game developer working on my first title and more recently just trying to get through all the games I recently bought on Steam Summer Sale :')
Nice to meet you all!
Jaime

Hello everyone!
I have created a game called Horizons Light. It's a fast paced SciFi FPS game with heavy emphasis on fast movement, exploring an alien planet and enemies that possess various abilities from one another. The main objective of the game is to find any survivors of the downed ship Horizons Light. Games like Halo, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, Tribes, and Thief were games that shaped me as a gamer when I was younger. Horizons Light is the game I wanted to make that combined the coolest things I encountered during those days and mechanics I always thought would work well together. Of course, I cannot compete with AAA games, but I think I managed to get just about enough out of each one to launch my Steam Greenlight campaign. The game is developed by myself and another dude who lives on the other side of the planet, so... we're pretty happy with what we've done in four and a half months!
If any of you champs are interested in seeing it in action and would even vote for it, here's a linkl! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=469517656
Below are some screens of the game in action!

I hope so too ;-)
Definitely, I'm thinking of going to Kickstarter in a month when I have a much more polished look and sound so I can hire freelancers to make unique assets that would really amp up the visual and audio tone of the game - thanks for the comment friend!
Thanks BATMAN - really awesome to hear that, if you want to try the pre-alpha demo shoot me an email! contact[at]rangeplusone.com
