  1. The EQSC is a long standing Halo community that also happens to be a Brony community.

We all have a very laid back approach and usually don't play all too competitively, preferring that everyone simply have a good time and enjoy themselves throughout each meetup.

We pride ourselves on doing our best to keep the community's atmosphere as friendly and welcoming as possible.

Basically, we exist for like-minded people to come together and share a little bit of beneficial chaos with the whole of the Halo community.

If you would like any more information or are interested in joining, please just send me a message here on the forums.

I'll do my best to give you a rundown of anything you might need.

  2.

whos the guy in your profile pic? he looks cool and ive never seen that anime

that is Gilgamesh from Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night

    Exactly so...

King of Heroes, Slayer of Gods and Demons, master of all things awesome, and wielder of an arsenal that makes Chief's look like nothing at all...

Getting ahead of myself, but he might be on this list as well.

But I can already see how he would deal with that situation...

  3. Marvel Universe vs. the Precursors

Very nice one here, and rest assured I will be moving on to it in due time...

I wouldn't be one to miss a Marvel debate...

haha i applaud you for knowing where it was from and what confuses you? i understood that series perfectly

Most manga can be confusing enough...(I should know, I read Type-Moon)

But it goes to a whole new level when a guy's primary weapons...are gigantic screws...

  4. Hmmm...

Well, speaking as the first post was pretty much decided all too easily. (Chief loses because he can't eat all the amazing food, due to his helmet...)

    The second, aka Medaka Box...

That series is a tad bit confusing for even my brain...

How about we start out with the GDI, speaking as a command and conquer battle would be pretty even ground to start with.

Though I will want to try out that TimeLord theory afterwards...(speaking as I still haven't won my Forerunner vs Chozo batttle yet...)

    Alright then...

From what I know, the GDI holds quite a bit of military power across the globe, they have basically the same arsenal as the UNSC (except making use of an ion cannon network instead of the MAC orbital defenses), and they may as well be a slightly less advanced alternate to the UNSC.

I may not know that much about command and conquer, but this could be an extremely well fought out battle.

  5. Alrighty then...

Now personally I'm not one for starting threads of any sort, however after the last one I "invested" myself in...I just feel like this is something I need to put out there.

I personally have always been a huge fan of the whole Death Battle type of scenario. I suppose there's just something completely awesome about two somewhat similar or totally different universes pitting everything they have against each other in an all out duel to the death...(But that could just be me.)

So in that regard, this thread is exactly what it might seem...

Everything the entire Halo Universe has to offer, facing off against absolutely whatever you guys could think to throw at them.

Anything goes, no restrictions (until proven otherwise), and complete insanity.

    ...That sounds fun...right?

I'll leave the first poster the honor of choosing the first topic, and once that battle has been suitably decided...we can go from there.

  6. Alright...

I'm thinking that I'm gonna start this thread now...

Goku isn't Broly...He won't just blow up any random continent or planet that has an enemy that would be difficult to beat.

That would be the Equivalent of saying Gilgamesh uses Ea full power on anything that poses a challenge to him...

    The universe would be dead...

Now I'm going to start this thread before I get this one too far off-topic.

  7. only certain people will get this but i can tell you right now  if you were to put goku against the entire unsc goku wins

See, a thread like that could really bring out some good arguments...

Like if Goku would be immune to Flood infection, The Composer, The Halo Array, or the many Forerunner weapons.

This wouldn't be a simple UNSC versus thread, but the entire Halo Universe.

  8. You know...

This whole thread has inspired me...

How would people feel about a thread devoted entirely to a Spartan/UNSC versus Anything topic?

I for one would love to measure out what the Halo Universe would be able to hold its own against.

  9. You all have to also remember that a saber and the force isn't the only tools the sith have at their disposal.

For instance, Sidious was considered an amazing martial artist and was able to break bones with almost no effort.

Freedon Nadd had a blaster that was rumored to have killed far more jedi than any saber did.

Darth Sion was quite literally invincible because his body had already died.

Same goes with Darth Nihilus being pure energy.

And many ancient sith, such as Exar-Kun and Lord Vitiate were able to create illusions so real that they could cause harm, through alchemy and sorcery.

So even though the whole "Space sword and Space magic" rule is definitely working in their favor, it's not the only thing working to bolster them.

No sith is above using any under-handed tactics necessary to gain victory...

Also...I wouldn't put any weight behind a spartan being physically more powerful than Lord Vader...

That guy is an absolute beast.

  10. To be completely honest...the actual movie was more than a bit of a disgrace...

The show on the other hand, I did seem to like for a bit.

I can only say that the cartoon did better than the actual movie because it brought back something from the japanese Godzilla, and that was Zilla fighting other monsters.

Let's just face the fact that Zilla was not the Godzilla we all knew...

It was completely different from what Godzilla fans had grown up with, and that was something most fans just didn't want anything to do with.

  11.

In my opinion it COULD be a good fight, but only if one little key detail were decided in a certain way.

Do light-sabers disintegrate matter or melt it?

If they disintegrate matter, then the Spartan is going to die. They cannot use any of the weapons against the Sith at this point and the Sith can take their time picking them apart (potentially limb from limb).

If they simply melt matter, then the projectile weapons the Spartans primarily use will be very, very effective. Especially since the Sith will be used to laser blasts instead of good ol' lead bullets. The Sith will probably end up attempting to block the bullet with his/her lightsaber and end up with molten slag in the face. If, by some random chance, the Sith decides to attempt to use the force to block the bullets then he's going to have to be REALLY good at the force to do so. Stopping one little bitty bullet would be a moderate challenge to a basic force user. Mainly because of the size of the bullet and how fast it is going.

Quite the good argument on the spartan's side there, however I'm afraid I've garnered enough information on that particular subject to put it down.

While some people do argue that that bullet would simply become a rain of molten lead on the saber user's end, there are two theories that are usually above that one.

The first being the actual velocity of the bullet itself. I don't know if you've seen or measured the speed between a bullet and a blaster bolt...but it's significant. Most bullets hit their target at least twice as fast as an actual blaster bolt, so most people argue that the bullet would simply be deflected in the same manner as energy would, given the speed it hits the saber.

The second is that the saber would vaporize the bullet. Most people on this end speculate that, given the insane heat a saber puts off, as well as the fact that a saber is able to go through far superior alloys such as durasteel and the like, that the bullet would be completely atomized on contact.

Besides the saber itself though, there's always the sith themself, who would not only have force defenses set up against energy and physical attacks, but would also most likely be dancing around the line of fire like a crazy man.

So whilst the occasional sith might go down from a well placed shot...

You can be damn sure that getting any of those killing shots off wouldn't be simple in any way.

  12. Exactly my point.

Sidious was to the point where his power would warp reality itself, and just about every sith under him had a name would make most people shudder.

    To put it simply...

Every Rule of Two sith could wipe the floor with almost any spartan. (Chief is an unknown, as he might be getting some weird freaky forerunner powers.)

On the other hand, most ancient sith could do the same, even if not as well as the Rule of Two line.

All sith had powers that were just unnatural, and that just isn't something that I can put any spartan up against in good conscience.

It would be the same as putting the Chief up against Gilgamesh...or Dr. Doom...

It just isn't much of a contest...

  13. I'm afraid that even with all the Spartans genetic enhancements, weaponry, intel, training, and armor...this is a bit of a stomp in most sith's favor.

Let's put it down like this...

We take John-117 Master Chief, considered a hyper-lethal vector and basically the very best the spartan's could offer...

And we place him up against the best the sith could offer...Darth Sidious...

I'll leave you with this little match up and see what argument you can put into it, then I'll answer in kind.

  14. Getting better at the game would all depend on what type of play-style you prefer. You could be invested in one way of playing, but have someone train you in something completely different from conventional play-styles.

Like if, for instance, I decided to take you up on this offer...

You might have to completely adjust everything you know, just to learn how to move around a map unseen and hardly rush things...

  15. that only works if you win the battle of psyche if they know you are doing it and fight back and win you will loose :troll:

    Trust me...

You could say it's sort of an art these days for me to find out what scares people.

I once found a troll that was able to hold his own against me in this game...and in the end we just friend requested each other.

So when I can't beat them...I can at least gain their respect.

  16. Own them all...play them all.

    And I mean all...

    Spin offs too...

Trozei, pinball, mystery dungeon, ranger, even the japanese versions of the mainstream games...

Bookshelves of all the different Manga series, even...dare I say it...some of the anime.

    Yeah...you could say I'm a fan.
